Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Celebrates First Anniversary With Major Update on April 24th

SNK is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its fighting game, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, with a big update coming on April 24th. The update will introduce a new playable character, Wolfgang Krauser. You can find three preview videos below.

The video showcases the passionate community built around the game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and includes thank-you messages from the people who created it. These messages are combined with exciting footage of tournaments and players battling it out in the game.

The upcoming update, featuring Wolfgang Krauser, will introduce a story mode called Wolves’ Destiny. This is a first for the Fatal Fury series, and it centers around a conflict between the returning Emperor Krauser and Kain, the Emperor of Second South. The story will be extensive, exceeding 15,000 words, and will be fully voiced in both English and Japanese. It will also be brought to life with nearly 150 brand-new illustrations.

I’m so hyped for the new Kain costume coming with the Wolves’ Destiny mode! And it’s awesome they’re bringing back Ring Out Battles – those are always a blast. For all of us who love playing online, the Fighters’ Hub is back for matchmaking, which is great. Plus, they’re letting Smart Style players use those super powerful heavy special moves now, which should really shake things up!

SNK has finished revealing details about Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The Standard Edition is now available for $19.99 and includes all characters and game modes. For $49.99, players can purchase the Legends Edition, which comes with everything from Season Pass 1 and 2.

Wolfgang Krauser will be joining the fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, announced earlier this month. He originally appeared as the main villain in Fatal Fury 2. Despite being seemingly defeated by Terry Bogard in the past, Krauser is back and seeking revenge. His new moves will focus on fast punches, powerful slams, attacks from above, and aerial combat. Krauser is just one of the characters players will unlock with the game’s Season Pass 2.

Kenshiro, the main character from the popular manga Fist of the North Star, is coming to the fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves next month, in June. You can see him in action in the game’s latest trailer.

Season Pass 2 for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will add a total of 12 playable characters. So far, the game has received Kim Jae Hoon (January), Nightmare Geese (February), and Blue Mary (last month), with more on the way, including Krauser and Kenshiro.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
