Coronation Street is gearing up for a dramatic week, as the long-awaited ‘Murder Week’ begins.
Okay, buckle up, because this wedding is going to be deadly! I’m hearing that during Carla and Lisa’s big day, one of five characters won’t be making it to the reception. The unlucky potential victims are Megan Walsh, Jodie Ramsey, Carl Webster, Theo Silverton, and Maggie Driscoll. Seriously, someone’s getting written out of the show, and it’s going to happen right amidst the wedding celebrations. Talk about drama!
An actor involved with the show recently hinted at what fans can anticipate, in a conversation with TopMob.
James Cartwright, who plays Theo, describes the upcoming “Murder Week” as incredibly exciting. He says viewers won’t be able to sit still – they’ll be on the edge of their seats! It’s packed with action and suspense, and he believes it’s a fantastic story.
He explained that the show features familiar and beloved characters placed in dramatic, high-pressure situations. There’s everything you want: relationships, romance, conflict, and plenty of excitement – even the possibility of murder. It’s a recipe for captivating television.
Cartwright feels this week’s episodes represent the very best of television. With so many options available now, like streaming and YouTube, he believes ‘Corrie’ is reclaiming its place as a leading show.
It really kicked everything off – the compelling characters are what started it all. The show effortlessly shifts between funny, thrilling, and heartbreaking moments, and you’ll experience all of that in this week’s episode.
When someone suggested Theo isn’t popular on the street and might be in danger, Cartwright playfully responded that he wouldn’t hesitate to bet on Theo being the one who dies.

If I were watching this unfold, I’d likely bet on both Theo and Carl to win, as they’ve both surprised a lot of people. It’s interesting to see they’ve even managed to upset each other.
When someone worried Carl and Theo might come to blows, he responded by imagining the possibilities: “Could you picture that? How would Carl even do it? Would he use something like a wrench, or maybe try to run Theo over?”
Theo recently threatened to kill Summer, following his previous actions of murdering Billy Mayhew and threatening Carl. It’s unclear how this new threat will affect the unfolding story.
Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm and from 7am on ITVX.
