Get ready for a fresh batch of shows and movies on Netflix next month! May brings a lot of new content, including classics like The Breakfast Club, the popular novel adaptation Remarkably Bright Creatures, all seasons of La Brea, and more episodes of Law & Order. However, along with these additions, Netflix will be removing a lesser-known crime thriller, and unfortunately, you won’t be able to find it on any other streaming service.
If you haven’t watched the Israeli thriller Black Space yet, now’s the time! It’s leaving Netflix on May 27th, as reported by What’s on Netflix. The show originally came to the platform in 2021 and is being removed after a five-year licensing agreement. Black Space follows a rebellious detective, Rami Davidi, played by Guri Alfi, as he investigates a shocking school shooting. The perpetrators wore unicorn masks, and the investigation leads him to a secret, encrypted app called “Black Space” – revealing a disturbing conspiracy within the school itself.
Black Space Is a Suspenseful Crime Thriller That Deserves To Be Seen

Black Space is a compelling crime drama that deserves more attention. It realistically portrays the fallout from a school shooting, combining the emotional intensity of teen dramas like Euphoria with the suspense of Homeland. The show delves into the complicated lives of today’s teenagers, while simultaneously following a fast-paced, rule-bending investigation led by Detective Davidi. It’s a tense, violent, and unpredictable murder mystery that keeps you hooked, but it also tackles important issues like cyberbullying and the challenges of growing up in a digital world.
Although Black Space didn’t receive enough reviews for a Rotten Tomatoes score, the four reviews it did get were all positive. Daniel Hart from Ready Steady Cut called it a “hidden gem” that deserved more attention, especially considering the number of good shows already available. Viewers generally enjoyed the series, describing it as suspenseful, fast-paced, and full of unexpected twists.
Where to Stream Black Space After It Leaves Netflix?
Don’t miss Black Space on Netflix! This eight-episode thriller isn’t available to buy or rent anywhere else. It’s leaving Netflix on May 27th, and it’s currently unknown if it will be available on other streaming services afterward, so watch it while you can.
