Rebel Wolves has finally announced the release date for The Blood of Dawnwalker: September 3rd. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC for $69.99. A new trailer shows what life was like for the main character, Coen, before a terrible massacre.
Led by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world RPG set in the 14th-century kingdom of Vale Sangora. The story centers around a powerful vampire who takes control of the land and turns the protagonist into a unique being – a Dawnwalker.
This means Coen can walk in the daylight without harm and use vampire powers at night. With only 30 days to save his family, he must prepare and gather allies to face the vampire lord, Brencis.
The game’s dual-life mechanic offers varied gameplay: sword fighting during the day and managing vampiric hunger at night to avoid harming important characters. As the story progresses, Coen will grapple with how far he’s willing to go to protect his loved ones.
Rebel Wolves previously stated the main story will take 30-40 hours to complete, but the open world, though small, is packed with things to do. More details are coming soon during the ongoing Road to Launch event.
