Nickelodeon was a huge force in kids’ TV during the 90s and early 2000s, shaping many childhoods with memorable shows like Rugrats, SpongeBob SquarePants, and All That. However, revisiting those classics hasn’t always been easy, even with today’s streaming services. One particularly beloved show has been hard to find, with only a few seasons available – until now. It’s finally available to stream all seasons on Paramount+.
Good news for fans! The classic 90s sitcom Kenan & Kel is now fully available on Paramount+. After initially only having the first two seasons, all 65 episodes are now streaming as of April 29th. The show, which originally aired on Nickelodeon from 1996 to 2001, follows the funny and often disastrous adventures of two teenage friends in Chicago. Kenan always tries to make money quickly, but his plans usually fall apart thanks to his goofy, orange soda-loving best friend, Kel.
Kenan & Kel Defined ‘90s Nickelodeon

If you grew up watching Nickelodeon, you probably remember Kenan & Kel. The show brought Kenan and Kel back together after they first worked on All That, and it quickly made them two of the network’s biggest stars. Their real-life friendship made their on-screen chemistry feel genuine and heartwarming. Kenan was great at playing the serious one, reacting to Kel’s wild, physical humor – it was a perfect combination that made the show so popular. It was funny for everyone, with Kenan’s crazy schemes and Kel’s silly mistakes leading to hilarious moments, like getting stuck in a freezer or accidentally driving a car into a building.
Kenan & Kel wasn’t just about the amazing connection between its two stars—the show was full of memorable moments. From Kel’s signature “Aw, here it goes!” opening line and Kenan’s repeated “Why?” to Coolio’s catchy theme song, it had everything needed to become a beloved classic. The show also uniquely connected with viewers by having Kenan and Kel directly address the audience at the start and end of each episode, creating a personal feel. It remains a strong symbol of ‘90s pop culture, consistently earning an impressive 80% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Other Nickelodeon Titles Now on Paramount+
Paramount+ has a large collection of Nickelodeon shows, including both older classics and newer hits, and they added even more in April. They started the month by making the 2002 movie Hey Arnold! The Movie available, based on the popular TV series. Then, they added seasons 3 and 4 of Kenan & Kel. Paramount+ will continue expanding its Nickelodeon offerings in May, starting with Harriet the Spy, which was the first movie ever produced by Nickelodeon Movies, on May 1st.
