The developer of MindsEye, known as Rocket Boy, has revealed they are delaying the unveiling of the Hitman level that was earlier promised for their massive PlayStation 5 project, which had faced some issues previously.
As a dedicated gamer, I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of the mission starring Agent 47 this month. Unfortunately, it looks like that’s not happening anymore due to an indefinite delay. The developer shared on Twitter that they are working hard to ensure this crossover lives up to our expectations and will keep us updated once they can. Other updates for the console and PC versions are also coming soon!
The tweet additionally discusses two updates coming for MindsEye in August and September. In July, the PS5 version will gain the capacity to bypass cutscenes, and the September edition offers ongoing performance and gameplay refinements across all platforms, along with several improvements to key gameplay elements.
Through IO Interactive’s publishing of MindsEye, the creators behind the Hitman series, it became feasible to collaborate with Hitman. Post-release content features an exclusive new mission for Agent 47, designed by Build a Rockey Boy.
Despite the studio confirming layoffs are underway, it remains uncertain if the project will ever come to fruition. The lead developers aim to craft a “redemption story” similar to No Man’s Sky, but with so many employees being let go, who will be left to work towards that goal?
