Prisoner cast: Who stars in the Sky thriller?

Matt Charman, who recently wrote the thriller Hostage for Netflix, returns with Prisoner, a new Sky series promising a fast-paced and twist-filled manhunt.

Directed by Otto Bathurst, known for Peaky Blinders, the six-episode series stars Tahar Rahim (from The Serpent) and Izuka Hoyle (of Boiling Point) as two individuals with conflicting roles on opposite sides of the legal system.

The show centers around Amber Hoyle, a dedicated prison transport officer, who must escort a dangerous and highly valuable inmate named Tibor Rahim to court. Tibor is needed to testify against his powerful criminal organization. When their transport convoy is attacked, Amber finds herself relying on Tibor for survival, and the two are forced to go on the run together.

Izuka Hoyle as Amber Todd

She’s always been a strong and determined person, but her values will be tested when unexpected events dramatically change her life.

Tahar Rahim as Tibor Stone

Tibor is a dangerous contract killer being taken to court to give evidence in a major case. Unaware that someone wants him dead, he finds himself chained to Amber, and together they need to find a way to escape to safety.

Eddie Marsan as Alex Tebbit

Alex is the Director of Operations for the National Crime Unit. He’s fiercely dedicated to dismantling a major crime syndicate, and he’s willing to bend the rules to get the job done.

Many people recognize Eddie Marsan from his work in a number of popular shows and films. He’s appeared in productions like Reunion, Ray Donovan, Ridley Road, and The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe. On television, you might know him from The Power, Franklin, Supacell, or Lockerbie.

Laurie Davidson as Declan Dempsey

Declan is the son of Harrison, who leads a criminal organization in Pegasus. He’s been trying to establish himself as an individual, separate from his father, but his quick temper often creates problems and prevents him from gaining support.

Leonie Benesch as Nina Voss
