The new show, The Neighbourhood, quickly became a hit last week, captivating audiences with its surprising plot developments. The latest episode was particularly dramatic, as one family was eliminated from the competition, ‘Keep Your Enemies Close’.
The series, which is fronted by Graham Norton, features a group of households battle it out for a £250,000 cash prize. All they have to do is remain the most popular amongst the other households, which is easier said than done…
This week on the show, the households had to make a difficult decision: choosing one of their own to eliminate. After deciding internally, a representative from each household announced their choice in the town square.
The Scouse Haus received the most votes and was eliminated, primarily due to the actions of one member of the Lozman-Sturrocks team.
Earlier in the show, Jordan was trying to get other houses on his side, and he did this by subtly causing drama about the Scouse Haus.
The Campbell Grahams had the final vote after a tie between them and the Lozman-Sturrocks, and they chose to eliminate the Scouse Haus, ending the competition for everyone involved.
I recently chatted with Rosie from Scouse Hause, and she addressed the team’s feelings about their rivals, the Lozman-Sturrocks. She was surprisingly gracious, saying it’s all just part of the game. Essentially, she believes any strategy is fair game if it helps a team achieve its goals, and they respect that hustle. It’s a ‘do what you gotta do’ attitude, which I found pretty refreshing.
Lyndsey added: “And do you know what? They played the better game than us.”
Now that things are resolved, they were completely surprised by how much manipulation had been happening without their knowledge.
We were completely shocked because everything seemed normal,” Lyndsey explained to TopMob. Louise continued, “We were happily going about our daily lives, baking cookies, and had no idea what was happening with him. He was going from house to house, visiting everyone.”
Despite all the excitement, the cast is eager to see how the show concludes, and they’re definitely supporting the Bradons and Pescuds – they’re still close friends with them, even after nearly a year since filming wrapped!
The Neighbourhood continues on Thursday 30 April at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
