Yosuke Tamori, the creator of the manga and novel series PopoloCrois, died on April 10th at the age of 74, as reported by the Mangaka Association.
Tamori originally published the manga PopoloCrois in the magazine Dakkusu in 1978, and later began a regular series in Asashi Shougakusei Shimbun in 1981. In 1996, Sony (then Sony Computer Entertainment, now Sony Interactive Entertainment) created a PopoloCrois video game for the PlayStation, which led to several follow-up games. The series was also adapted into two anime shows, released in 1998 and 2003. Throughout his career, Tamori also created other manga and illustrated picture books.
Thanks, Famitsu.
