As a Digimon fan, I’ve been waiting a long time for a mobile game that lets me hang out with my favorite digital monsters like we do with Pokemon Go! Finally, it’s happening with Digimon Up, which is coming out in 2026. We’ll be able to train a main Partner Digimon and build a team with others, and honestly, the early looks have me excited, but a little hesitant. The biggest question for a lot of us mobile gamers was always, ‘When can we pre-register?’ Well, the wait is over! We can finally sign up for pre-registration now and get some cool rewards when Digimon Up launches later this year.
An exact release date for Digimon Up is still to come, but the start of pre-registration on May 1st means we’re getting closer to playing the mobile RPG! You can now pre-register on the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pre-registering will earn rewards for all players, and could even unlock a brand new Digimon. Here’s what you need to know.
Digimon Up Launches Pre-Registration Campaign with New Digimon Reveal & Trailer

Just announced, Digimon Up is a new role-playing game coming to iOS and Android in 2026. Players will be able to raise Digimon from the very beginning – as DigiEggs – and evolve them multiple times. You’ll battle with your main Digimon, along with support Digimon, and the game will include familiar features like feeding and training to make your Digimon stronger. There are also hints that Digimon trading cards and Digivices will be important parts of the game, though details on how they’ll be used are still coming.
I’m so hyped for Digimon Up! The team just dropped a new teaser trailer to celebrate the start of pre-registration. It mostly shows off animations for Digimon hatching from their eggs and what our partner Digimon will look like, and it reminds us of the gameplay we already know about. Honestly, it doesn’t reveal a ton of new info, but it’s still awesome to see those cute pixel-art Digimon moving around! You can check out the trailer below – I’ve already watched it a few times!

Reaching the pre-registration milestones will get you Gekkomon in Digimon Up, but there are also other in-game rewards you can earn as we progress. Here’s a breakdown of the pre-registration goals for Digimon Up:
- 10,000 Registrations: 150 Skill Card Summon Tickets
- 30,000 Registrations: 150 Supporter Summon Tickets
- 50,000 Registrations: 1,000 DigiEmeralds
- 100,000 Registrations: Gekkomon
We don’t know the exact rewards yet, but since Digimon Up is a free-to-play game, they’ll likely be in-game currency you can use to unlock new skills and Digimon. If you plan on playing when it releases, pre-registering can give you a boost when Digimon Up launches later this year.
We’re excited to announce a new Digimon, MetalGreymon, as we begin pre-registrations! Stay tuned for more updates tomorrow. #DIGIMONUP
