May the 4th is coming up soon, and LEGO is celebrating with special offers! From May 1st to 6th, 2026, you can get a free LEGO Star Wars The Darksaber (40917) – a buildable version of Din Djarin’s famous black lightsaber from The Mandalorian – when you spend $160 or more on LEGO Star Wars items at LEGO.com or in LEGO stores. But hurry, this free gift is available while supplies last!
There’s another free item to be aware of: the Razor Crest Mini-Build poly bag (30728). You’ll get it free with any Star Wars purchase of $40 or more. However, this offer doesn’t apply to sets designed for adults. For example, if you spend $850 on the Millennium Falcon (75192), you’ll receive the Darksaber, but not the poly bag. This is a bit of a strange rule with this year’s promotion, so it’s good to know before you complete your purchase.
If you buy the LEGO UCS N-1 Starfighter during the promotional period, you’ll receive a special bonus gift in addition to the Darksaber: the Mandalorian and Grogu Display (5010320). This is a small, decorative ornament featuring a lenticular film strip of Mando and Grogu inside the N-1 cockpit. It comes in a nice presentation box with an engraved base and is about 2.5 inches square – a perfect little display piece that’s only available with this set. This bonus gift is available until May 6th, or while supplies last.
Just a quick tip about getting the free Darksaber gift: LEGO usually rounds up to the nearest dollar, so a purchase of $159.99 should qualify you. If you’re a little short of that amount, adding a small LEGO keychain will do the trick. The Mandalorian keychain (854326) costs around $6, making it a cheap and easy way to reach the qualifying total.
The Darksaber is sold separately for $29.99. To get it as part of a LEGO promotion, you’ll need to spend at least $160. Here are some good ways to reach that spending goal with sets you’ll enjoy.
Best Set Combinations to Hit $160

Let’s play some math games to get you the biggest bang for your buck… er, Galactic Credits.
For Clone Wars fans — $175, 13 minifigures
This pairing is incredibly powerful, and the need to act now stems from the fact that all four pieces are set to be discontinued in 2026.
- Jedi Bob’s Starfighter (75388): $39.99
- Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter (75333): $29.99
- Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor (75401): $44.99
- The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter playscale (75325): $59.99
For battle pack collectors — $164, 24 minifigures

If getting the most minifigures is your main goal, this option—when combined with the Mandalorian keychain—will give you the highest total and also qualify you for the Darksaber.
- Ambush on Mandalore Battle Pack (75373): $19.99
- 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack (75345): $19.99
- Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack (75372): $29.99
- 327th Star Corps Clone Troopers Battle Pack (75431): $44.99
- Death Trooper & Night Trooper Battle Pack (75412): $22.99
- Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack (75373): $19.99
- The Mandalorian Key Chain (854326):$5.99
For display-focused buyers — $161, 6 minifigures

The Gingerbread AT-AT is a LEGO set that’s been hard to find, especially since the holidays, and it’s one of the few promotional items you can’t get at a lower price anywhere else.
- New Republic X-Wing Starfighter (75460):$69.99
- Gingerbread AT-AT Walker (75361): $59.99
- The Mandalorian & Grogu Speeder Bike (75348): $9.99
- Plo Koon’s Jedi Starfighter Microfighter (75400): $14.99
- The Mandalorian Key Chain (854326): $5.99
The $190 droids you’re looking for — 2 sets, 2 minifigures

This set absolutely qualifies for the Gift With Purchase promotion, and although it’s a slightly more expensive bundle, it will look fantastic with your LEGO Star Wars collection. It even comes with a special 25th anniversary Darth Malak minifigure!
- Buildable R2-D2 (75379): $99.99
- K-2SO Security Droid (75434): $89.99
The display trio — $160+ (emphasis on the “+”)

This set is a premium option for dedicated collectors. Since the Venator and Acclamator models will be discontinued in 2026, buying them together now is a wise investment for fans of large Star Wars sets.
- Darth Vader Bust (75439): $49.99
- Acclamator-Class Assault Ship (75404): $49.99
- Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser (75367): $649.99
The Sets with Extra VIP Point Bonuses

In addition to Gift With Purchases, LEGO is also offering extra Insiders points on a few sets during the promotion. In the US, you can earn 4x the points – which is like getting 20% back to spend on a future LEGO order – on these three sets:
- UCS TIE Interceptor (75382): $229.99 (retiring end of 2026)
- UCS Jabba’s Sail Barge (75397): $499.99 (retiring end of 2026)
- AT-ST Walker (75417): $199.99 (retiring end of 2027)
The Jabba’s Sail Barge offers the best deal right now. Because it’s a larger set that will retire in 2026, and with the current points bonus and free gift, it’s likely the lowest price you’ll find it at. The AT-ST isn’t as pressing a purchase, as it will be available until the end of 2027, giving you more time to decide.
Three additional sets are receiving a straight 20% discount during the promo period:

- The Mandalorian Helmet (75328): $55.99 (retiring in 2026)
- C-3PO Buildable Figure (75398): $111.99
- Brick-Built Star Wars Logo (75407): $47.99
Of those three items, the Mandalorian Helmet is the most important to get now, as it’s also scheduled to be discontinued in 2026. Just keep in mind that adult LEGO sets don’t earn double VIP points.
The Big Ticket Question: Should You Buy the UCS Falcon Now?

- UCS Millennium Falcon (75192): $849.99 (retiring end of 2026)
The Millennium Falcon LEGO set has been available since 2017 and will be discontinued at the end of 2026. Currently priced at $849.99, the only extra you get with this promotion is a free Darksaber, which you can sell for about $50, bringing the actual cost closer to $800. While it’s not a huge discount, it might be the best price you’ll find. Keep in mind it won’t earn double VIP points (you’ll still earn 5525 LEGO Insiders Points), and there’s no certainty of a bigger sale before it’s gone. If you’re considering buying one, think carefully – popular sets like this often sell out before year-end discounts are offered.
Don’t Miss the New UCS N-1 Starfighter

- UCS Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter (75442): $249.99
Okay, so the big LEGO release happening right now is the N-1 Starfighter – it’s a massive 1,809-piece set, and honestly, it looks incredible. They used these special silver pieces to really nail the look from The Book of Boba Fett and the latest season of The Mandalorian. As a LEGO Insiders member, I get to snag it a little early, starting May 1st, but it’ll be available to everyone on May the 4th. And here’s the cool part: if you buy it during the promotional period, you also get a bonus Mandalorian and Grogu display piece. Trust me, if you want this set and that bonus, it’s best to grab it early – these big UCS releases tend to sell out, and you can’t always count on future sales.
Free In-Store Build Events

From May 2nd to 4th, LEGO Stores are offering free building events where you can create a 43-piece N-1 Starfighter and get a mini Grogu figure to take home!
From May 3rd to May 5th, Barnes & Noble stores will be offering chances to build LEGO Mandalorian and Grogu sets. They’re adding more events all the time, so be sure to check your local store’s website for the most up-to-date information.
That wraps things up from us! But LEGO Star Wars fans have countless ways to build and create their own masterpieces for Star Wars Day 2026. You can find all the official details and a list of qualifying sets on LEGO’s Star Wars Day page for the US.
