Christopher Knight almost met his match with a particular lovely lady.
Eve Plumb, who played Jan Brady on The Brady Bunch, recently revealed that she and a co-star once went on a date. Now, Christopher has shared more details about why that romance didn’t last.
The actor who played Peter Brady told People magazine that Eve seemed much more grown-up than him from a young age and always felt like she had a special connection with him. He admitted he wasn’t ready for that kind of connection and didn’t even realize it wasn’t mutual for a long time, right up until the end.
Sadly, just as he and Eve were becoming close, the TV show The Brady Bunch ended in 1974, cutting their potential relationship short.
I wasn’t present,” the 68-year-old stated. “Just as I was starting to acknowledge the attention and perhaps respond in kind, the broadcast ended.”
Christopher explained the feeling of almost connecting with someone as being like a kiss shared between two trains just as they’re pulling apart.
Looking back, the former middle child believes their relationship unfolded as it should have. “It was nice while it lasted, but it wasn’t meant to be,” Christopher explained. “You don’t usually remain close with an ex, and we never really had the opportunity to grow apart or become something more.”

Eve, who is also 68, shared a warm memory of their single date, telling Page Six in an April 4th interview that while it was enjoyable, they had become such close friends by then that a romantic relationship just didn’t feel natural.
The former child stars who stopped dating each other remained friends, and they weren’t the only ones from The Brady Bunch to stay in touch. Many cast members worked together on TV movies over the years. In fact, all six of the Brady kids – Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Susan Olsen (Cindy), and Mike Lookinland (Bobby) – came back together in 2019 for A Very Brady Renovation.

Eve previously told TopMob News that the cast members had occasionally run into each other over the years, but this reunion was particularly noteworthy. She said it had been around 15 years since all six of them were together in the same place.
Eve and Christopher aren’t the first actors to fall in love while working together. Here are some other on-screen couples who secretly dated…

The one where fans had no idea their favorite Friends couple actually had feelings for each other.
In the recent HBO Max reunion of the beloved show Friends, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer revealed they both had crushes on each other while filming the first season.
As Schwimmer shared, he had a big crush on Jennifer Aniston during the first season of the show. Aniston playfully responded that the feeling was mutual.
So why didn’t Ross and Rachel’s real-life counterparts ever officially get together?
You know, David and I had a real connection for a while, we definitely had feelings for each other. It was just…bad timing, honestly. One of us was always seeing someone else, and we both really valued respecting those relationships. We never wanted to cross that line, and we just…both felt that way.
Matt LeBlanc playfully disagreed, joking, “That’s nonsense, I’m kidding.” He then hinted that his co-stars might have displayed some affection towards each other while filming.
“Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television,'” Aniston confessed. “And sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.”
As a longtime fan, it’s so sweet to hear about the early days of filming Friends! David Schwimmer recently shared that during breaks in rehearsals, he and Jennifer Aniston would often cuddle up on the couch. Jennifer even added that sometimes they’d fall asleep spooning! It just shows how comfortable and close they were, even back then, and makes me love the show even more.
Schwimmer finally confessed he wondered why everyone hadn’t noticed they had crushes on each other.

In 2010, stars of The Big Bang Theory surprised fans by revealing they had been in a relationship for two years. Kaley Cuoco only shared details about their romance after they broke up.
Kaley Cuoco recently shared that her relationship with Johnny Galecki was a significant part of her life, but they kept it completely private. In an interview with CBS Watch! magazine, she explained they never discussed it with anyone and avoided appearing together in public, despite having a great connection.
Even after Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco ended their real-life relationship, their characters, Penny and Leonard, remained a couple on The Big Bang Theory until the show finished. They both agreed that acting as a couple wasn’t difficult, despite their breakup.
She explained that, given both individuals had been working since childhood and fiercely guarded their personal lives, they wanted to keep things very private. She also suggested this extreme privacy might have unintentionally contributed to their split.
Kaley Cuoco explained that she and her co-stars were very careful and wanted to protect both themselves and the show from anything that could go wrong. However, she admitted this created a difficult situation. ‘I don’t want to be in a relationship where I feel like I have to hide things,’ she said.

What you saw on screen with the Saved By the Bell characters’ love lives was just the tip of the iceberg. The real relationship drama happened behind the scenes.
Looking back, everyone on the show dated each other, which was pretty complicated, Gosselaar admitted in 2009. He described situations where the female cast members would team up against the guys, with Tiffani and Elizabeth both being upset with him, and then with Lark when he spoke to him. Mario would get caught in the middle, just like typical high school drama – everyone questioning who you were talking to.
Throughout the run of Saved by the Bell, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen had the longest relationship of any of the show’s real-life couples, dating for three years.

According to Ed Alonzo, who played Max on the show, actors Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen, known as Zack and Kelly on TV, definitely had a connection while filming. He shared this with Entertainment Tonight.
“It was very cute,” Alonzo shared. “It was hand-holding and looking over.”
Thiessen recently told People magazine about her first experience with alcohol, which happened while in Paris with Mark-Paul Gosselaar. They were there for a press tour, enjoying crepes, when she had her first sip. She described the experience as feeling like a real-life Barbie and Ken – or maybe Zack and Kelly from Saved by the Bell!

Zack Morris, the character from Saved By the Bell, revealed in a 2019 interview on Anna Faris’s Unqualified podcast that he had dated all three of the show’s main female characters, including a brief relationship with Tiffani Thiessen’s character, Kelly Kapowski.
He described the working environment, saying, ‘You know how it is on set—especially when you’re young. There aren’t many people around, and you essentially live and work in a self-contained world.’
No wonder Zack had to call so many time outs.

Though Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley’s characters were famously a couple on Saved By the Bell, Lopez shared in his memoir, Just Between Us, that he actually dated Tiffani Thiessen in real life.
He described how they started dating – going to the movies, eating out, and going to parties where they danced. Eventually, they became a couple. However, Lopez later confessed to being unfaithful, explaining that while he believed staying loyal to Tiffani was the right thing to do, he wasn’t mature enough at the time to actually do it.

How intense was the relationship between the stars of Beverly Hills, 90210 behind the scenes? It really depends on who you talk to.
In a 2020 podcast interview, Tori Spelling discussed her experiences working with Brian Austin Green on ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’. She explained that they had a connection both on and off camera, but they remember things differently. Spelling described it as having two separate perspectives – how she saw it as a young woman and how he saw it as a young man.
She laughed and said it was strange because she clearly remembered a summer romance where they both said ‘I love you.’ He, however, had a completely different recollection, insisting they just had a casual fling and were only friends. She found his version of events surprising, simply responding, ‘Okay, cool,’ and still feels that way now.
On a 2015 episode of Celebrity Lie Detector, Tori Spelling confessed she had always been in love with Brian Austin Green. She also revealed she once kissed Luke Perry and had a brief summer romance with Jason Priestley. Priestley responded to the revelation with a tweet saying he wouldn’t discuss it, adding that it was a private matter.

Before marrying Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, known for his role in Deadpool, reportedly kissed Melissa Joan Hart after they acted together in the 1996 TV movie, Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
In her 2013 memoir, actress Melissa Joan Hart shared a story about Burt Reynolds giving her a watch on the last day of filming a scene where his character, Seth, had a crush on her character, Sabrina. After that, they ended up kissing in her hotel room.
She recalled being struck by his attractive lips, as well as his large hands and broad shoulders, which made her feel small in comparison. She also noted it was a good thing he was physically appealing, because she could definitely smell his hairspray.

Kelly Clarkson revealed that she did date one of the original American Idol finalists, confirming long-standing rumors. However, she clarified that their relationship didn’t begin until after the competition had ended.
Everyone assumed we were dating while on American Idol, but we weren’t actually together then,” she shared on Watch What Happens Live in 2015. She then revealed they did briefly date while filming their 2003 movie, From Justin to Kelly.
She explained that she believes anyone spending that much time with another person would naturally develop feelings for them. She playfully referenced the song ‘Timeless’ from the movie From Justin to Kelly, saying that some connections are just unavoidable.

While filming Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009, Cyrus quietly dated her on-screen love interest.
During interviews to promote their Disney movie, Till revealed they had been dating for two months, playfully suggesting it would ‘make the movie a little better’ because their connection was genuine.

After Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron broke up in 2010, she briefly dated her co-star from the movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. However, the public didn’t find out about their relationship until after they had already split up, during interviews for the film.
In 2012, while appearing on an Australian morning show together, the former couple was asked how long they had been dating.
A long, uncomfortable silence followed, with puzzled glances exchanged, before Hutcherson finally spoke, making the situation even more strained.
He quickly corrected himself, saying they used to be a couple, but she had hurt his feelings. He then added with a laugh that he was just joking, which prompted nervous laughter from Vanessa Hudgens.
