When Forza Horizon 6 comes to the PS5, you’ll likely need a lot of free space on its SSD unless the console uses its data compression technology (Kraken) during the download.
Before its launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC, the game’s file size has been announced. Players will need at least 135GB of free space on Xbox Series X, 130GB on Xbox Series S, and 160GB on PC to download and install the game.
It’s likely the PlayStation 5 version, still planned for release later this year, will have similar installation sizes. While the PS5’s Kraken feature could potentially reduce download sizes, developers don’t seem to be using this compression technology as much as they once did.
Playground Games also revealed the graphics options in a recent blog post. The Quality and Performance modes available on the Xbox Series X will probably be similar on the PlayStation 5, and here’s what players can expect on that console:
- Quality Mode
- 4K resolution at 30 frames-per-second (on Xbox Series X)
- Performance Mode
- Targets 4K resolution and scales dynamically to maintain 60 frames-per-second (on Xbox Series X)
