Fake Saros PS5 Story Details Are Circulating Online – Here’s What Actually Happens

Players are finishing the PS5 exclusive game Saros, and reactions are mixed. Some aren’t happy with how the story ends.

Everyone is free to have their own thoughts about the game and its story. However, it’s disappointing to see some people sharing made-up images and incorrect information, possibly to harm the game’s reputation.

We can best address these inaccuracies with the truth, and now that we’ve finished the game, we’re ready to share what really happened.

Heavy spoilers below.

Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about Saros lately, and honestly, a lot of it just doesn’t seem right. I want to break down all the rumors and misinformation I’ve come across – basically, everything that’s either completely made up or just plain wrong about its story.

Here’s What People Are Saying

Honestly, the biggest problem right now is a couple of fake images floating around. They show two characters standing together, but as a player, I can tell you those two never actually meet in the game. It’s totally misleading!

Nitya and Kayla appear together in a scene, holding each other, despite never actually meeting or having any connection within the story. There’s no suggestion they even know each other exists.

I was really shocked to see a post going around on X, originally from an account called Pirat_Nation. It claimed that the game Saros has a storyline about a guy who gets betrayed by his wife and she leaves him for another woman. The original post has since been deleted, but people are talking about it!

This is not accurate.

Here’s What Actually Happens

Okay, so in Saros, I’m playing as Arjun, and my wife, Nitya, went missing. She was part of the very first team sent to explore this planet called Carcosa. Seriously, finding her is everything. It’s the only thing I care about, and it pushes me forward through the whole game. It’s a really personal quest.

As you play, you’ll experience flashbacks to moments from Arjun’s life. These scenes will help you understand his character better, and also show you how he connects with Nitya and the other people around him.

Much is left intentionally vague, but some heavy implications make certain events pretty clear cut.

  • Arjun and Nitya’s partnership was not a happy one; he appears to be manipulative and emotionally abusive, and was an alcoholic
  • It is heavily suggested that Arjun cheats on Nitya and kills his friend, who intended to inform her of the affair
  • Nitya leaves him, and takes a job on Soltari’s first mission to Carcosa, Echelon I, starting a new life
  • Through audio logs, text logs, and holo logs, you learn that the members of Echelon I become corrupted by the eclipse and unusual time patterns on the planet. Over centuries, several of them transform into powerful beings that the player must defeat as bosses
  • During this impossibly long time frame, Nitya forms a romantic relationship with a woman named Kiira, a fellow member of Echelon I
  • The first ending of Saros depicts Arjun defeating the King, then becoming the King, and taking Nitya’s hand. The implication here is that Arjun is stuck in a futile loop in which he stubbornly attempts to win Nitya back and restore things to how they were
  • In the second ending, Arjun defeats the King but doesn’t kill him, instead meeting Nitya on a beach where he finally lets go of his obsession and begins to take responsibility for his actions

So, in the end, the version of Saros’ story that’s doing the rounds online isn’t quite right.

Nitya moved on with her life after leaving Arjun, but he struggled to accept it and desperately tried to fix things, though the relationship was beyond repair.

The main thing to take away from this situation is that you should be careful what you read online.

It’s okay to criticize any form of media, but there’s a big difference between having legitimate reasons for disliking something and deliberately sharing false or misleading information.

We intend to put together a more thorough story breakdown in future.
