Nintendo frequently releases limited-edition versions of its consoles, so many fans have been waiting to see what colorful designs might be available for the new Switch 2 instead of just the standard black one. These special editions often come packaged with popular games. However, the Switch 2 bundles released so far have all included the basic console model, and the newest bundle appears to be continuing that pattern.
Nintendo has just announced a new bundle for its Switch 2 console, and it’s a great deal! The game Pokemon Pokopia has been a major hit for the Switch 2, and this bundle is designed to encourage more people to buy one. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. Fans hoping for a special edition Ditto-themed console will be disappointed, as the bundle features a standard Switch 2. Also, as of now, the bundle is only confirmed to be released in Australia and New Zealand.
Latest Switch 2 Bundle Sticks to Trends with Digital Download & Standard Console

Currently, Nintendo has only announced a special Switch 2 bundle for Australia and New Zealand. This bundle includes the Switch 2 console and the Pokemon Pokopia game, and it will be available starting June 5th. Considering how popular Pokemon Pokopia is, I expect Nintendo will release it in other regions soon. However, this limited release continues a pattern of disappointing availability for the Switch 2 so far.
Many fans were hoping the new Switch 2 would come with a special edition themed around the popular game, Pokemon Pokopia. While a bundle is coming, it appears to be a standard Switch 2 console. Nintendo has created unique console designs for other Pokemon games in the past, and given Pokopia‘s success, it’s a bit of a letdown that this bundle doesn’t offer a special design. It’s possible a special edition could still be released later, but this standard bundle might make that less likely. So far, we’ve only seen limited edition consoles like the Disney Dreamlight Valley version, and we’re still waiting for the first truly special edition Switch 2.

If you prefer to own physical copies of games, there’s another drawback to this bundle. It seems you’ll receive a digital download of Pokopia instead of a physical copy. While Pokopia is usually a Game-Key Card, this bundle may not even include that – it appears to be a completely digital version. This is frustrating for players who like having a physical item to show they own the game.
Nintendo hasn’t announced the price for the Switch 2 bundled with Pokemon Pokopia yet. Previous bundles, like the Pokemon Legends: Z-A bundle from last year, cost around $500. Since the Switch 2 hasn’t gotten more expensive like other consoles, this new bundle will probably be around the same price, but we’ll have to wait for pre-orders to open to know for sure.
