Strictly Come Dancing 2026 officially confirms returning professionals line-up after big cast changes

The professional dancers for the 2026 season of Strictly Come Dancing have been announced, after several familiar faces decided to leave the show.

Fans of the show have been eager for official news about which dancers are returning and who has decided to leave, especially with so many conflicting reports circulating.

Dianne Buswell, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, and Nikita Kuzmin will all be back to dance in the next series of the show, which will air on BBC One this fall.

I’m so excited to see Aljaž Škorjanec, Jowita Przystał, Johannes Radebe, Nancy Xu, and Kai Widdrington are all returning too! They really make the show for me.

I’m so excited to see Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, and Vito Coppola returning, and we’re thrilled to welcome Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon to the pro team starting in 2025! It’s going to be an amazing season with this lineup.

The BBC announced that new professional dancers will be joining the show, and their names will be revealed soon.

This news follows the departures of several professional dancers, including Karen Hauer, Gorka Márquez, Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk, and Michelle Tsiakkas.

The BBC has confirmed the judging panel for the 2026 season will remain the same: Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke will all return.

Each week will have a different theme, like Movies, Icons, Halloween, and Musicals. The popular and energetic Instant Dance challenge, which was a hit last year, will return as well.

With the professional dancers now confirmed, everyone is still wondering who will take over hosting duties from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

The hosts announced they were leaving Strictly Come Dancing last year, but the BBC has only said they’ll reveal who’s replacing them when the time is right.

There’s been a lot of guessing about who the next host will be, and names like Zoe Ball, Rylan Clark, Alex Jones, and Mel Giedroyc have all been mentioned as possibilities.

There’s talk that It Takes Two, the companion show to Strictly Come Dancing, is getting a new format this year. Instead of a traditional TV show, it’s expected to become more like a video podcast, similar to the after-shows for programs like The Traitors and The Apprentice.

Strictly Come Dancing 2026 begins on BBC One and iPlayer later this year.
