Billie Eilish Finally Addresses Role in Survivor 50’s Boomerang Idol

A 24-year-old fan of the show Survivor recently had a unique connection to its 50th season – an item was playfully named after her, called the “Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol.” She’s now sharing the story of how this unexpected appearance happened.

She explained to Amy Poehler on the May 5th episode of Good Hang that she’d written a letter to the contestants saying, ‘Here’s your secret idol,’ and then added, ‘If you use this idol, you can…’ while making air quotes with her hands.

If players find the hidden idol, they can use it to protect themselves at Tribal Council, but Billie’s idol has a special catch.

Okay, so here’s how this works – if you find the hidden idol, you’ll also get a note from the artist Billie Eilish explaining exactly what it does. The catch? You have to give it to someone on a different tribe. Now, this is where it gets interesting: if that person is voted out while they still have the idol, the immunity it provides actually comes right back to you – the original finder! It’s a really risky move, but a potentially huge reward if it pays off.

As you’d expect from a season of Survivor called “In The Hands of the Fans,” well-known fans of the show—like Billie, Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, Jimmy Fallon, and Zac Brown—have been involved in adding surprising new elements throughout the season.

The singer of “Wildflower” admitted she often dreams of trying it, but worries about the mathematical aspects. She feels confident she could handle the physical challenges, although she acknowledges it’s likely much harder than it appears.

She’s currently focused on supporting the unique idol she co-created with host Jeff Probst.

Jeff told People magazine that they shared a few concepts with her, and she chose the one she preferred. “She specifically said she liked ‘The Boomerang,'” he explained. They then developed the riddle, and she gave it her approval too.

The host shared that working with her was a lot of fun, and she was really excited about the project.
