Beyoncé almost couldn’t handle this.
During the event, the 44-year-old became emotional while watching Stevie Nicks perform, and jokingly teased her 14-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Hugh Jackman, who was sitting nearby with Sutton Foster, saw the playful moment between them.
He remembered Stevie Nicks performing at the event, and shared that Beyoncé and Rihanna were also in attendance. He added that he saw Beyoncé playfully tapping her daughter.
Hugh continued, watching the Met Gala co-chair, and said seeing her tears was a truly special moment. He felt it was something you couldn’t put a price on.
Beyoncé and Stevie Nicks have a long-standing connection. Back in 2001, Destiny’s Child—which included Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams—sampled Nicks’ song “Edge of Seventeen” in their hit “Bootylicious.” Nicks even appeared in the music video for the song alongside the group.
Beyoncé, who is also a mother to 8-year-old twins Sir and Rumi with her husband Jay-Z, recently shared a behind-the-scenes interview with Stevie Nicks on her website. The interview was filmed on the set of the “Bootylicious” music video.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I was rewatching some old Entertainment Tonight footage from 2001, and Stevie said the sweetest thing! He was talking about meeting his wife, and he said it just felt… meant to be. He literally said, ‘I just think it was so fated, for some reason we were definitely meant to make a connection!’ Seriously, I replay that clip like a million times, it’s just so romantic!
Beyoncé explained that when she first heard the music sample, she thought it would be amazing to have the artist appear in the music video, but she didn’t expect it to actually happen.

The short clip appeared with other items commemorating the 25th anniversary of Destiny’s Child’s album Survivor, leading many fans to speculate it was a clue about Beyoncé’s upcoming third act. Rumors suggest this act will be a rock album, and some fans hoped singer Dreams would collaborate on it.
Details about the third act are still under wraps, and even Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, playfully avoided revealing anything during an appearance on Today on May 5th, jokingly saying she’d have to keep it secret or else!
While we wait for news about Beyoncé’s next big thing, let’s take a look back at her stunning outfit and other memorable looks from the 2026 Met Gala.

I was absolutely floored by her Met Gala look! She totally nailed the ‘Fashion Is Art’ theme. She wore this stunning Dior dress completely covered in celluloid strips from the classic movie Sabrina – I think it was the Audrey Hepburn version! And of course, she finished it off with the perfect pair of Christian Louboutin heels. It was a brilliant tribute and so incredibly chic.

Rihanna sparkled on the red carpet, wearing a stunning Maison Margiela gown covered in over 115,000 crystals, vintage jewels, and other unique embellishments.

The YouTuber looked like she had just stepped out of an oil painting in this custom Mugler design.

The Grammy-winning artist celebrated the human form with a stunning gown by Olivier Rousteing, intricately designed to look like a skeleton.

Although she wasn’t wearing Prada, the actress from Devil Wears Prada 2 still embraced the night’s “Fashion Is Art” theme in a stunning Michael Kors gown. The dress featured unique, hand-painted artwork by artist Peter McGough.

The star of Heated Rivalry turned heads on the red carpet wearing a Saint Laurent outfit, including a polka-dot halter top with a long, flowing train.

As a co-chair for the 2026 Met Gala, I have to say the tennis superstar absolutely nailed the ‘Costume Art’ theme! Her gown was stunning – a beautiful Swarovski crystal mesh – and she really made a statement with a necklace inspired by the iconic Wimbledon plate. It was a perfect blend of sport and high fashion, and I loved seeing her creativity shine.

I was so fascinated to read in Vogue that my favorite rapper designed her incredible Saint Laurent dress thinking about how fabric flows on those classic Greek statues. It really makes sense when you see it – it’s got that same beautiful, sculpted look!

Following the event’s “Fashion is Art” theme, Kardashian worked with British artist Allen Jones to create a custom breastplate for her, made of fiberglass.

The actress from Euphoria seemed inspired by Gustav Klimt’s 1912 painting “Mäda Primavesi” with her Prada outfit. Her nail artist, Emi Kudo, recreated the artwork’s delicate color palette – pale nudes with hints of blue, white, yellow, and gray – by layering six different shades of DND Gel polish on her nails.

Oh my gosh, did you SEE Hailey Bieber’s dress?! It was Saint Laurent, and it was absolutely unreal. The top part was like a sculpture, totally molded to her body, and get this – it was made of 24-karat GOLD! I’m obsessed. It looked like a work of art, honestly. She’s always serving looks, but this one… this one was next level. I need that dress in my life!

The gown worn by the actress, Michael, was custom-made by DiPetsa and designed to look like the flowing fabrics often seen in Italian sculptures. It was inspired by the way sculptors create the illusion of draped cloth from stone.

The rapper certainly lived up to the ‘Fashion Killa’ title, appearing in a custom Chanel pink wool robe with sleek black satin details.

The singer of “Water” turned up the heat in a revealing, custom-made Valentino dress, a look inspired by the Costume Institute’s exhibition focusing on the body.
Hairstylist Yusef Williams told TopMob News he styled her hair to look delicate and artistic, almost like a sculpture.
To create the style, I first used the Wavytalk Steam Sesh to straighten her roots. Then, I defined her curls with the Cool Curl Pencil, and finished by using the Turblow Pro diffuser to hold the style in place, as I explained in a statement.

The actress continued her streak of stunning fashion moments with a Thom Browne dress inspired by the famous “Venus de Milo” statue. The dress was covered in over 1.5 million vibrant sequins, making a truly memorable statement.

The lead actress from KPop Demon Hunters honored her Korean roots by wearing a Swarovski outfit inspired by the beautiful and elegant courtesans of the Joseon dynasty.
She told Vogue that these women weren’t just wives or socialites, but truly talented artists—the most sophisticated and cultured people of their era, excelling in music, poetry, and lively discussion.

Keke Palmer looked stunning at the event in a vibrant red Prabal Gurung dress and Christian Louboutin heels. And her jewelry was equally impressive – the Wempe necklace she wore was worth a full million dollars!
Hairstylist Ashanti Lation finished Keke’s look by styling her red hair with products from Creme of Nature.

The singer, known for “Close to You,” wore a Chanel gown inspired by Gustav Klimt’s famous painting, “The Kiss.” Similar to the artwork, the dress was covered in gold.
