My Hero Academia: 7 Stories We Still Need Told, Ranked

The My Hero Academia anime has concluded with a special epilogue episode, “More,” offering fans a glimpse into the future. While the finale suggested a budding romance between Deku and Uravity, the manga author, Kohei Horikoshi, hasn’t indicated any plans for a sequel or spin-off in the near future. Many questions about the series’ world – from its past to its potential future – remain unanswered. Here at egmr.ru, we’ve put together a list of seven stories we’d love to see explored, and some might surprise you.

7.) The Creation of UA Academy

UA Academy is the top school for aspiring heroes in the world of My Hero Academia, and it would be fascinating to learn about its origins. Early in the series, the emergence of Quirks created a dangerous world, and a spin-off exploring the school’s creation – and how it helped change society – would be really compelling. We’ve gotten glimpses of the school’s past through My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, showing characters like Eraserhead as students, but a deeper dive into those earlier years would be a great story.

6.) Nana Shimura’s Rise

Nana Shimura, Shigaraki’s grandmother, was a pivotal and tragic character in My Hero Academia. She wielded One For All before All Might, and uniquely added the ability to float to its powers. Her story is compelling because she had to leave her family behind to fight against All For One, ultimately contributing to the rise of one of the biggest threats to hero society. A spin-off series exploring her past would be incredibly powerful, combining thrilling action with deeply emotional moments.

5.) My Hero Academia: The Next Generation

One unresolved storyline in My Hero Academia with a lot of potential is the “Quirk Singularity Theory.” The villain Dr. Garaki proposed that Quirks, or superpowers, are becoming stronger with each generation as they combine within individuals. We’ve already seen this happen in the anime with characters like Toga, a villain whose powers developed over time – initially allowing her to transform her appearance, and later granting her the Quirks of those she copied. While an upcoming anime short will focus on Eri’s journey to becoming a hero, there’s still a wealth of stories to tell about the heroes who will come after Izuku Midoriya and his classmates.

4.) The Villains of The Future

Now that All Might and Shigaraki are gone at the end of My Hero Academia, fans are wondering what villainy will look like in a more peaceful world. The ending suggests that greater acceptance could prevent many people from becoming villains, but some will always choose evil. Characters like Toga, Twice, Mr. Compress, and Stain prove villains can emerge independently of All For One. As the world becomes more hero-focused and Quirks become even more powerful (according to the Quirk Singularity Theory), it would be interesting to see what new types of antagonists might appear.

3.) All Might’s Early Years

Fans of My Hero Academia have only seen glimpses of All Might’s career as a hero, and there are many untold stories we’d be eager to explore. A complete telling of how Toshinori Yagi went from a teenager without a Quirk to becoming the “Symbol of Peace” would be incredibly compelling – and could even be as long-running as the main series. Given All Might’s impact on the world of shonen, a spin-off focusing on his earlier years would be fascinating.

2.) A Fifth My Hero Academia Movie

The popular anime series My Hero Academia has already had four movies, each telling a standalone story that fits within the show’s overall timeline. While the anime series is ending after My Hero Academia: You’re Next, there hasn’t been confirmation that the fourth movie will be the last adventure for Deku and his classmates. A fifth film focusing on the characters as adults could be a fitting conclusion to the entire series. Studio BONES could potentially make this final movie the most popular one yet, as many fans would likely want to see a proper goodbye to the characters in theaters.

1.) Everything All For One

The final season of My Hero Academia featured an episode dedicated to All For One, but he’s truly the most compelling villain in the series, deeply connected to everything that shaped its world. A complete story told from his perspective would offer fascinating insights into characters like One For All and All Might. Even the spin-off, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, couldn’t avoid his impact. No villain in the history of UA High has been as significant as All For One, and likely none ever will be. A story focused on his life would easily be the most captivating part of the entire franchise.
