Amy Schumer Shares Look At “Dream Home” After Chris Fischer Breakup

Amy Schumer’s home is anything but a trainwreck.

Five months after splitting from her husband, Chris Fischer, the 44-year-old has revealed a look at her new home, which offers a view of Central Park in New York City.

She featured a dining room and living room decorated with abstract art and pink furniture as standout examples.

Amy recently shared on Instagram how thankful she is to her interior designers, Ashley and Leandro, and Ariel, for bringing her dream home to life. In a post from May 7th, she expressed her daily gratitude, describing the space as beautiful, loving, and beyond anything she ever imagined.

So, everyone’s been wondering about my move, and I’m happy to share a little more! While it finally happened in January with a gorgeous new condo, I’d actually been dreaming about a Manhattan life for a while. I didn’t make the leap until after we sold our Brooklyn townhouse, but honestly, the idea of moving uptown had been brewing for some time.

In March 2025, the former couple’s son, Gene, was accepted into a good school, but his parents told the Wall Street Journal they were unwilling to make the 45-minute commute each day to take him.

Amy has had a lot to celebrate recently, not just her new house. She also celebrated her son Gene turning seven, calling it her first birthday party as a single mom. She made it special with a ninja-themed cake complete with ninja stars, a sword, a ninja topper, and a banner wishing Gene a happy birthday!

Even though she organized the birthday party, she’s stated before that she and Chris ended their relationship on good terms and are still working together to raise their child.

In a divorce announcement last December, Amy shared that she and her spouse still care deeply for each other and plan to prioritize their son’s upbringing.

Now that you’ve had a peek at Amy’s new place with Gene, keep scrolling to see more adorable family photos from the comedian.

Amy Schumer shared on Instagram in February 2022 that being a mom to her son, Gene, is both incredibly joyful and constantly filled with worry and a sense of helplessness. She described feeling intensely protective, as if her heart is outside her body, and noted that she’s reached an age where her old coping mechanisms no longer work. She jokingly asked for help, adding that it feels like a mix of being in love and being terrified.

The star took her son on a holiday walk in 2019.

“Happy Pride babies!!!” the comedian wrote on the day of the NYC LGBT Pride Parade in 2019.

In 2019, Amy posted a clear picture of Gene on Instagram, captioning it with details about his personality. She described him enjoying looking around, laughing at his black and white butterfly toy, and being happy to nap or cry if he needed a diaper change.

The happy parents matched with their son and dog in 2019.

The Trainwreck star enjoyed some snuggles with her baby boy on her 38th birthday in 2019.

Amy shared a cozy 2019 photo of herself in bed with Gene and her husband Chris at the time, and simply wrote, “I recommend this.”

The actress and Chris gave Gene his first bath when he was almost 3 weeks old in 2019.

Just two weeks after giving birth to her son, Gene, Amy posted a photo of herself pumping breast milk and responded to criticism on Instagram, saying she was sending love to mothers who were upset she’d performed stand-up comedy the night before.

Okay, so Amy just posted this hilarious photo of herself with two breast pumps, and her caption was just brilliant! She asked, ‘Guys what are we doing tonight?’ with the hashtags #schumerpump and #ootd. It’s so Amy – totally honest and funny about motherhood, and making a fashion statement while doing it! As a fan, I just love how she normalizes everything and makes me laugh.

In 2019, on Mother’s Day, Amy Schumer shared a candid and honest look at the less glamorous side of childbirth.

As someone who’s navigated motherhood, I have to say, pregnancy and childbirth completely changed my perspective! Right after my son was born, I shared something on Instagram that really resonated with me, and it still does today. Honestly, women are incredible. Men are great, of course, but women? We’re absolute warriors, capable of anything we set our minds to. I felt so empowered throughout the whole process, and I was incredibly grateful to have the support of a doula – it made a huge difference!

She shared that she stayed active during her pregnancy, doing Pilates and going for walks, but also battled severe morning sickness – hyperemesis – which made her feel sick most days. Thankfully, she said, the relief came immediately after giving birth, just as everyone told her it would. She expressed immense gratitude to her friends, some of whom she’d known for 30 years, for their encouragement and support. She also thanked all the women who offered help and advice, feeling inspired by their strength and confirming that they were right – it was worth it, especially with the support of her family.

After giving birth to her son on May 5, 2019, Amy wrote on Instagram, “New kid, who dis?”

Amy and Chris jokingly called their newborn son their “royal baby.” This was particularly amusing because he arrived just hours before Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced the birth of their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
