The second season of Daredevil: Born Again has finished with a thrilling finale. The episode, “The Southern Cross,” brought Matt Murdock (Daredevil) and his enemy Wilson Fisk (The Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio) to the brink of a violent clash, each leading their criminal organizations. What started as a battle of wits in court quickly escalated into a brutal fight, with both Daredevil and Kingpin unleashing their full fury.
The original Netflix series Daredevil, which debuted in 2015, really raised the bar for superhero shows on television, largely thanks to its impressive action. Its realistic and brutal fight scenes were a step above what viewers had come to expect from shows like those in the DC Arrowverse. It proved that superhero TV could be both dramatically compelling and visually exciting, rivaling the action in Marvel’s blockbuster movies. Many fans immediately loved the show, and a key moment that won them over was the now-famous “Hallway Fight” sequence.
After five seasons, the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale featured an incredible hallway fight scene that fans are calling one of the best ever from Marvel.
Daredevil: Born Again (Finally) Gives Kingpin His Own Hallway Fight

The season finale of Daredevil: Born Again, titled “The Southern Cross,” brought the conflict between Daredevil and Kingpin to a climax in a courtroom showdown. Kingpin testified, attempting to have Karen Page imprisoned for her actions as a vigilante. However, Matt Murdock surprised everyone by appearing in court himself and confessing that he was Daredevil and a witness to Kingpin’s crimes. This led to Karen’s release, but Kingpin and his followers refused to leave the courthouse, barricading themselves inside. As tensions escalated both inside and outside the building, the situation ultimately exploded into a full-scale gang war.
As a huge Marvel fan, I was absolutely blown away by the action in Daredevil: Born Again. They really upped the ante with two simultaneous hallway fight sequences! On one side, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, White Tiger, and their team were fighting their way into the courthouse against Kingpin’s forces. But then, Kingpin himself just bursts out of the courtroom doors, going through a crowd of rioters who were actually dressed as Daredevil! It was incredible. Everyone was so excited to see Kingpin get his own epic hallway brawl, and the fact that it’s happening in the MCU allowed them to really showcase his raw power. Seeing him knock people out with single punches, or just completely break bones like they were nothing… it reminded everyone just how terrifying and powerful Wilson Fisk truly is. Any doubts anyone had before? Gone. He’s a full-blown supervillain, and they really proved it.
Can Daredevil Up The Ante On Hallway Fights Again?

The action sequence known as the “Hallway Fight” has become a signature element of the Daredevil series, evolving since its debut in Season 1. While characters like the Punisher and even a full jail riot have featured similar fights, attempts to expand the concept haven’t always landed well with fans. Daredevil: Born Again and the She-Hulk series both included large-scale fights with underwhelming visual effects. Even the team-up in The Defenders featured a hallway fight that many viewers found disappointing, despite involving multiple heroes.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m so excited about the Daredevil: Born Again season, especially because it’s bringing the Defenders back together! It feels like they’re perfectly set up to give us another incredible hallway fight scene – you know, those long, continuous shots with tons of action that we all love. Matt Murdock’s behind bars, but Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist? That’s a dream team for a tag-team brawl. Luke’s practically indestructible, both he and Jessica are incredibly strong, and Iron Fist brings serious martial arts skills and that amazing glowing fist. Honestly, with those three working together, they could deliver one of the best hallway fights ever. And if they throw in Punisher, Coleen Wing, and Misty Knight? Even better! I’m already picturing it.
