Jimmy Presnell is being crystal clear about how much his new look required.
Following a hair transplant he had in December, the “Love Is Blind” star revealed the high price tag of around $10,000 for the procedure, explaining that he chose to have it done in Chicago after thorough research.
He stated on his July 25 TikTok that he had chosen to undergo his procedure in the U.S., explaining that while it tends to be more costly than other locations, there are numerous advantages associated with this decision, which he will elaborate on later.
Jimmy went on to note that the Illinois-based clinic he visited charges “roughly $5 a graft.”
He stated that his hair transplant involved approximately 2,000 grafts, which could be around 2,100 or 2,200. Translated, this means the surgery cost him about $10,000 to $11,000.
Furthermore, he didn’t stop there; he also outlined the potential expenses for additional care, like PRP treatments – a technique where one’s own blood is utilized to promote hair regrowth. Jimmy emphasized that these procedures are not compulsory.
He clarified that he’s been involved in PRP therapy, and has created several videos detailing this process. He mentioned these videos usually cost between $400 and $600.
Despite the fact that the ex-Netflix star mentions Turkey as a common choice for this particular procedure, he ultimately chose to remain nearby after conducting additional research.
In his own words, during the assessment phase, he encountered estimates ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 which covered travel, accommodation, and other amenities. However, there was no follow-up consultation or interaction with the surgeon post-surgery. This lack of ongoing communication was a significant factor in his decision-making process.
And he’s more than happy about his hair journey.
Jimmy pointed out that he’s been returning for follow-ups every other month. Therefore, regular visits and check-ins are crucial for him.
