After 15 years on Fox, Bob’s Burgers is making a significant change to its schedule, impacting how the show will air in the future. The show recently returned for the second half of its sixteenth season, reaching several impressive milestones. While Bob’s Burgers celebrated its 300th episode last year and will remain a key part of Fox’s programming, it won’t be included in the traditional Animation Domination lineup this fall.

Fox announced its fall 2026 TV schedule (according to Deadline), and Bob’s Burgers won’t be on Sunday nights this fall. The show will return in January 2027 as part of Fox’s midseason lineup, similar to how Family Guy was handled in the past. Instead, new episodes of the live-action series Animal Control will air during the Sunday night Animation Domination block.

Bob’s Burgers Removed From Fox’s Fall 2026 Schedule

As of now, Fox hasn’t announced specific premiere dates for its Fall 2026 Animation Domination lineup, but the schedule currently includes The Simpsons at 8:00 PM Eastern, Animal Control at 8:30 PM Eastern, Universal Basic Guys at 9:00 PM Eastern, and Grimsburg at 9:30 PM Eastern. This isn’t the first time Fox has changed up its Fall schedule recently; Family Guy was moved from the Fall lineup to midseason back in 2024.

With Fox adjusting its programming for the middle of the season, moving Bob’s Burgers actually makes sense. The cancellation of shows like The Great North created a gap in the schedule, which Fox temporarily filled with extra episodes of Family Guy. However, they used up the latest season of Family Guy quickly. Fox needs a reliable show to fill this often-overlooked time slot.

Bob’s Burgers Move to Midseason Isn’t the End

Some fans might be disappointed that Bob’s Burgers won’t be back this fall, but moving the premiere makes sense for Fox as they adjust their schedule. Instead of hurting the fall lineup, this will actually make the midseason schedule in 2027 even stronger. This is similar to what happened with Family Guy, and it looks even more promising now that American Dad! has returned to the network.

Fans of animated comedies have good news! Bob’s Burgers, along with The Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad, have all been renewed for four more seasons. This deal includes seasons that have already aired, meaning we can expect at least three additional seasons of each show in the future.
