The popular action-fantasy anime Wistoria: Wand and Sword returned for its second season this spring. Based on a light novel series by Fujino Omori – known for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? – the show first aired in 2024 and quickly gained a large following thanks to its beautiful animation, detailed world, and compelling characters. The new season premiered last month and has already released six episodes. Fans can watch new episodes every Sunday at 1:30 A.M. Pacific Time on Crunchyroll, shortly after they air in Japan.
Both seasons of the anime are now available to watch in North, Central, and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia. The English dub will be released two weeks after the original, with new episodes arriving at the same time as the subtitled version. To celebrate the anime reaching a key turning point in its story, a new video recapping past events has been released. As the story moves forward, Will Serfort and his friends will face a new set of challenges.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Is All Set to Begin a New Phase
The story is just getting started, following Will as he travels towards the Magia Vander tower. Season two will introduce new characters and continue directly after the events of season one, leading into what’s shaping up to be the most intense story arc yet. Facing the Evil Grand Duke was only a taste of what’s to come, as the villains are now actively making their plans known. The kingdom is bracing for trouble, as chaos begins to spread.
The New Year’s celebration quickly turned disastrous, and, predictably, Will found himself caught in the middle of it all. With the kingdom’s safety threatened and graduation looming, the future of Will and his classmates hung in the balance. Will faced a significant challenge because he struggled with even simple spells, putting him far behind. However, his heroic actions at the festival, where he saved many lives, couldn’t be ignored. It wouldn’t have been right to penalize him for a lack of magical skill, so he was allowed to continue his training and ascend the tower.
I’m so excited, because things are really about to kick off! We’re finally going to get the full story – the truth about the world – after Will and Elfaria finally reunite. The author’s hinted at something called the ‘Terminaria Arc,’ and says it’s the peak of the first part of the story, which means the next episodes are going to be huge! It’s not just going to be action and challenges, though; we’re also going to see a lot more of Will and Elfaria’s relationship develop after years of being apart, and I can’t wait to see how that unfolds.
