Kicking things off, Adventure Week starts on July 29th and continues until August 3rd. Immediately following that event, players can dive into Gigantamax Butterfree Max Battle Day on August 3rd. Pokemon Go Adventure Week Details
During Adventure Week 2025, trainers will have the opportunity for the first time to capture two Pokemon from Paldea – Toedscool and its evolution, Toedscruel. These are their wild debuts, so you’ll be able to locate them on the Pokemon Go map. At launch, they won’t be Shiny, but a special event feature is planned. The other event highlight is what makes this exciting!
During Adventure Week, Shiny Wiglett will join the lineup. Not only it, but numerous other Shiny Pokémon will appear more frequently in specific regions during this time. Let me share the details on where to discover these Shiny Pokémon:
1. Shiny Wiglett – Spawns most commonly in grassland biomes
2. Shiny Pikachu – Found near water sources like lakes and rivers
3. Shiny Charizard – Appears in volcanic areas
4. Shiny Bulbasaur – Commonly found in forests
5. Shiny Squirtle – Spawns often near beaches or oceans
6. Shiny Charmander – Found in deserts and savannas
7. Shiny Eevee – Can be discovered in urban environments like cities and towns

Gigantamax Butterfree Max Battle Day Details
If you prefer engaging in battles over Shiny hunting, get ready for Adventure Week transitioning directly into Gigantamax Butterfree Day. This special event kicks off on Sunday, August 3rd at 2 p.m., lasting until 5 p.m., all in your local time zone. During this Max Battle Day, the highly anticipated debut of Gigantamax Butterfree occurs within Pokemon Go, and yes, it has the potential to be Shiny!
At the gathering, each Power Spot will feature Gigantamax Battles starring Butterfree. For a limited time, the capacity for collecting Max Particles will be expanded, making it simpler to accumulate them. The event perks will aid in this as well, offering double Max Particles when exploring and reducing the distance needed by 75% for Max Particles from adventure sync.
As a dedicated Pokémon Trainer, I’m thrilled about Gigantamax Butterfree Max Battle Day! In case you don’t have enough fellow trainers nearby, the Remote Raid limit will be doubled from 10 to 20 participants. This means more chances for us to team up and take on this formidable 6-star Max Battle!
