Livvy Dunne Reveals Boyfriend Paul Skenes’ Reaction to Baywatch Role

Livvy Dunne’s boyfriend knows that Baywatch is more than a job—it’s a way of life.

That’s why the ex-LSU gymnast has gotten a lot of support from her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, who pitches for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Livvy shared with TopMob News that Paul has always been incredibly supportive. Speaking alongside her Baywatch co-star, Brooks Nader, at the Fox Upfronts in New York on May 11th, she explained that they both focus on doing their best work, regardless of the circumstances, as they each have their own careers.

Of course, the 23-year-old admitted her latest gig was a dive into new waters.

Livvy explained that she, her family, and Paul were all unsure of what to expect when they started. She added that she’s gained a lot of valuable experience from everyone involved in the production.

You know, everyone assumes being on a boat for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot would make someone nervous, but honestly, the model told me it was way less stressful than her gymnastics days! She said stepping onto a gymnastics mat was far more intimidating than being on a film set – talk about pressure! It just goes to show, what feels scary is all relative, right?

She confessed she doesn’t usually feel nervous before either gymnastics competitions or acting performances. She explained she’s reached a point where she simply relies on her preparation, whether that means practicing routines or learning lines.

She explained that while gymnastics is more physically exhausting, acting presents its own unique set of challenges.

Livvy received support from her boyfriend, a Major League Baseball player she’s been with since 2023, and from her family and friends. She also found a strong connection with her costars, including Shay Mitchell and Hassie Harrison, who became a new source of trust and support.

She explained that she’s learned the most from the women she worked with on set. Seeing their dedication and how they approached each day was really inspiring and a pleasure to witness.

And Brooks, for her part, agreed.

Brooks shared that this is the best period of his life so far. He feels incredibly happy and satisfied, both in his personal life and with his work. He described the exciting projects he’s been involved in as surreal and admitted he’s really enjoying the fast pace and creative energy.

You’ll have to wait until next year to see the new Baywatch series, but here are some other shows to enjoy in the meantime…
