2026 promises to be an exciting year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The second season of Daredevil: Born Again has just concluded, and The Punisher: One Last Kill premieres on Disney+ this week. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theaters in July, and the highly awaited Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for December. However, fans are also eagerly anticipating the return of Ultron, and now we have a confirmed release date for that long-awaited event.
Disney announced today that VisionQuest, the WandaVision spinoff fans have been waiting for, will premiere on Disney+ on October 14th. While previously slated for a fall 2026 release, the announcement now gives viewers a firm date. The series was first announced back in October 2022.
VisionQuest Will Conclude the “WandaVision Trilogy” (And It Comes At Just The Right Time
Think of VisionQuest as the final part of the story that started with WandaVision. That earlier series brought Vision back to life, but he wasn’t quite the same as before Avengers: Endgame. VisionQuest will continue his story after the events of WandaVision, and it will also tie into the Agatha All Along series by introducing Tommy, another member of the Maximoff family, who was hinted at in the finale.
Although VisionQuest appears to be wrapping up Vision’s story arc for now, it’s launching at an ideal moment for the character to reappear in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The series is scheduled to release after Spider-Man: Brand New Day and before Avengers: Doomsday, and given Paul Bettany’s hints about a possible return in Avengers: Secret Wars, it’s reasonable to think Vision might show up in Doomsday as well. Regardless of whether he appears in those movies, VisionQuest promises to be a thrilling series that further explores the world of androids within the MCU. The show will feature the return of familiar faces like James Spader as Ultron, Emily Hampshire as EDITH, and Orla Brady as FRIDAY.
VisionQuest arrives on Disney+ October 14th.
