The popular anime series Devil May Cry is back for a second season, following Dante, Vergil, and Lady. Fans are now eagerly waiting to find out if it will be renewed for a third season.
In Season 2, the brothers worked together to defeat the incredibly powerful demon Argosax. Vergil created a gateway to the demon world, Makai, during the conflict.
Things didn’t quite go according to plan, though, with season 2 ending on quite the cliffhanger.
So, here’s everything we know so far about a potential Devil May Cry season 3.
Will there be a Devil May Cry season 3?
Although Netflix hasn’t officially announced it, a third season of Devil May Cry is a possibility.
Although it hasn’t been officially announced, many believe a third season is being planned. This makes sense, as the second season arrived quickly after the first – only a year apart.

Although we don’t have official numbers yet for season 2, the first season of the show did very well on Netflix, attracting 5.3 million viewers in just the first four days.
Critics and fans have given Season 2 excellent reviews, earning it a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes as of today.
Considering all of this, we’d expect a renewal announcement to be on its way.
When could a potential Devil May Cry season 3 be released?
We’d expect a potential Devil May Cry season 3 to be released around mid-2027.
I loved Season 1 and 2! The second season came out just a little over a year after the first, so I’m really hoping we don’t have to wait too long for Season 3 if they make it. Fingers crossed it comes out pretty quickly!

Who could be in the cast for Devil May Cry season 3?
We’d expect the following to return in season 3:
- Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante
- Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary
- Ian James Corlett as VP Baines
- Robbie Daymond as Vergil
- James C Mathis III as Beowulf
- Dee Bradley Baker as Goliath
- Ray Chase as Mundus
We’re not expecting the return of Graham McTavish as Arius after the season 2 finale.
