Today is an exciting day for fans of The Punisher, both longtime followers and newcomers. Marvel Studios released its newest special presentation, The Punisher: One Last Kill, on Disney+ on Tuesday. Early reviews are in, and One Last Kill is currently receiving a higher rating on Rotten Tomatoes than the original Marvel’s The Punisher series from Netflix.
Currently, The Punisher: One Last Kill has a positive rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, but it hasn’t received enough reviews to earn the ‘Certified Fresh’ designation. In comparison, Marvel’s The Punisher earned a 64% positive rating over its two seasons, which is not high enough for ‘Certified Fresh’ status.
The release of “The Punisher: One Last Kill” seems to have brought renewed attention to the original “Marvel’s The Punisher” Netflix series, even though it’s no longer available on Netflix. Currently, it’s appearing on the Apple TV Store’s PVOD chart on FlixPatrol, at number 19. While not a top position, this is a positive change from where it was before the premiere of “The Punisher: One Last Kill.”
