Masters of the Universe Reveals First Look at Yet Another Iconic He-Man Hero

The new Masters of the Universe movie is packed with iconic characters like He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, and Beast Man – plus a whole host of others! While we’ve seen glimpses of many of them in trailers and previews, one character remained a mystery… until now. We’ve finally gotten our first look at them in the film!

Amazon MGM Studios is sharing behind-the-scenes looks at different parts of the movie and its characters. Their newest video focuses on the Sword of Power and also gives us the first glimpse of Moss Man, a heroic character from the original cartoon. In the video, Moss Man talks about the rediscovered sword with Ram Man and Fisto. He looks just like he stepped out of the cartoon! You can see him in the image and video below, starting around the 29-second mark.

Who Is Moss Man In Masters of the Universe?

Moss Man first appeared as a toy in the original Masters of the Universe line. He then showed up in the animated series, though only in two episodes. In those appearances, he helped the heroes of Eternia. He’s also been featured in later versions of Masters of the Universe, including the 2002 relaunch and Masters of the Universe Revelation.

Moss Man is covered entirely in moss, giving him the unique ability to transform into different kinds of plants and blend into his surroundings. He can also control plants, and frequently uses these powers in the cartoon.

Moss Man is completely covered in green, just like in the original toy and cartoon, and still wears the classic trunks and belt seen on most Masters of the Universe characters. The movie version keeps this all-green appearance, although it’s hard to tell if his costume has any other new details because he’s standing behind a table. He looks great, and fans are excited to see him battle the villains of Eternia on the big screen.

Masters of the Universe is set to hit theaters on June 5th, 2026.
