Evil Dead Burn: Release date, cast and trailer for new horror film

As a huge movie fan, I can’t believe The Evil Dead has been scaring and delighting audiences for 45 years now! It’s incredible how dedicated the fanbase is – it just keeps getting bigger with every new installment, which is awesome to see.

Sam Raimi created the original Evil Dead trilogy while still a young filmmaker, writing and directing all three movies between 1981 and 1992. Since then, the franchise has expanded with two additional films: a 2013 reboot by Fede Álvarez and 2023’s Evil Dead Rise. This makes the newest installment, Evil Dead Burn, the third film released outside of the original trilogy.

Although Sam Raimi didn’t write or direct the film, he is a producer, just as he was for the last two movies. However, he told TopMob earlier this year that he’s taking a less active role in the creative decisions for this new installment.

I offer feedback on all aspects of the production – the script, the editing, the actors, and the sound. But I don’t direct the movie; I’m more like a supportive collaborator, offering my help where I can.

Fans have more Evil Dead to look forward to! While ‘Evil Dead Burn’ is coming to theaters, another film, ‘Evil Dead Wrath,’ is already in production with a planned release in 2028. But first, we need to see how ‘Burn’ goes!

Get the latest details on Evil Dead Burn, like its release date in theaters and who stars in the movie.

Evil Dead Burn release date

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that Evil Dead Burn will be released on Friday, July 10, 2026. With just under two months to go, fans have plenty of time to look forward to the premiere!

The movie was initially planned for release on July 22nd, but positive reactions from early screenings led to its release being moved up to July 10th.

Evil Dead Burn plot

Evil Dean Burn is a self-contained story within the franchise. It doesn’t continue any previous storylines and features a completely fresh plot and new characters.

Sébastien Vaniček, the French director of 2023’s Infested, wrote the screenplay for Evil Dead Burn, which is only his second feature film.

Evil Dead Burn cast

Evil Dead Burn features a cast of well-known actors, international performers, and up-and-coming talent. Souheila Yacoub plays the film’s main character, a vibrant pink-haired woman, and she’s also known for her role as Shishakli in Dune: Part Two.

Yacoub is known for her work in dramatic and suspenseful roles, but recently she starred in the supernatural horror film, The Carpenter’s Son, with Nicolas Cage and FKA Twigs.

I was really excited to see Hunter Doohan in Evil Dead Rise – he’s actually got a background in horror already! Most people will probably recognize him as Tyler from Wednesday on Netflix, and I thought he brought a really interesting energy to the role.

The Evil Dead Burn cast is as follows:

  • Souheila Yacoub as Alice
  • Hunter Doohan as Jospeh
  • Tandi Wright as Susan
  • Erroll Shand as Edgar Price
  • Luciane Buchanan
