The fantasy manga and anime Delicious in Dungeon features adventurers who cook and eat the monsters they defeat. Now, an indie game called Chef Knight is bringing that unique concept to life! Developed by Clover Bite, the team behind the popular RPG GRIME, Chef Knight blends dungeon exploration with cooking simulation. The game recently announced its official release date, promising a fresh take on both genres.
Clover Bite, the team behind the challenging action RPG GRIME, is launching a new game called Chef Knight on June 1st for PC via Steam. While you’ll still battle monsters, Chef Knight offers a more relaxed and charming experience than GRIME, set in a cozy fantasy world with beautiful hand-drawn art. The unique twist? You’ll use the creatures you defeat as ingredients to create new dishes – it’s the *Delicious in Dungeonstyle game many of us have been waiting for!
Chef Knight Delivers Dungeon Crawls, Cooking Management, and Skill Trees Galore

Clover Bite is an independent game publisher that helps students turn their video game ideas into reality. They’re focused on creating innovative and exciting indie games, and have already built a loyal following with titles like GRIME. Their newest project, Chef Knight, was developed by students and will be available on PC through Steam starting June 1st.
Chef Knight seems to have everything I enjoy in a game! It’s a top-down dungeon crawler with fast-paced, bullet-hell combat – you’ll fight through enemies to collect ingredients. You then bring those ingredients back to a charming, hand-drawn kitchen to cook up delicious dishes. Finding new ingredients lets you unlock more recipes and expand your restaurant. The cozy hand-drawn art style makes the whole experience even more enjoyable, even with all the action happening on screen.

What’s a fantasy game without a skill tree? Chef Knight has a huge one, letting you unlock upgrades by satisfying customers. These new abilities boost both your cooking and combat skills, making each playthrough feel rewarding. The more successful you are, the stronger you become and the better ingredients you can get, allowing you to create even more amazing dishes. It’s exactly the cooking and dungeon-crawling game I’ve always wanted, and I’m excited for its full release.
You can now add Chef Knight to your Steam wishlist! The game is scheduled to release on June 1st. The price hasn’t been announced yet, but it will be shared closer to the release date.
