Adriana Trigiani, the New York Times bestselling author, has shared a preview of her upcoming novel, Connie, which will focus on Talia Shire’s character from The Godfather films. The book is scheduled to be released in Fall 2027.

The Godfather Will Return in 2027

According to author Adriana Trigiani, her novel ‘Connie’ tells the story of a woman striving to define herself in a world that has already made assumptions about her identity and worth. Trigiani draws a parallel to the Corleone family, noting that underestimating Connie Corleone, like underestimating Don Vito or Michael, would be a mistake.

Anthony Puzo, who is Mario Puzo’s son and is handling his estate, is very excited about the upcoming retelling of the story and who is leading it. He shared that they were searching for someone who could offer a fresh take, and Adriana was particularly surprised to learn that the character of Vito Corleone – famously played by Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro – was actually inspired by his grandmother.

It was amazing hearing him talk about the strong women who really held everything together for both families – quietly, behind the scenes.
