In 2026, the anime series Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will conclude the story of Ichigo Kurosaki and the shinigami. Although this appears to be the final chapter for the popular series – with creator Tite Kubo giving no indication of future manga installments – Bleach‘s impact will undoubtedly endure. To refresh viewers’ memories and celebrate the world of Soul Society, Studio Pierrot is releasing new episodes each week.
Pierrot is reigniting fans’ passion for Bleach by creating art that highlights Ichigo Kurosaki’s growth throughout the series. From a hesitant substitute Soul Reaper, Ichigo evolved into the Soul Society’s most powerful member by battling numerous formidable foes and learning about his heritage. The official Bleach YouTube channel is offering free episodes – specifically 343 to 366 – but they’ll be released weekly and may not be available in all regions. What Lies in Wait For Ichigo?
The last time we followed the story in Bleach, things were looking bleak for our heroes. Though many managed to defeat members of the Sternritter, the main villain, Yhwach, succeeded in his plan for the Blood War. He gained the power of the Soul King, which allows him to change reality at will. The fourth and final season of the anime is coming out later this year, so fans won’t have to wait long to see how the epic battle concludes.
It’s currently unknown if the story of Ichigo Kurosaki will continue after the end of the Blood War arc. While Bleach creator Tite Kubo recently released a one-chapter story, Bleach: No Breaths From Hell, it mainly served to set up potential future storylines within the Soul Society, hinting at battles against returning enemies. This story takes place several years after the fight with the Wandenreich and shows Ichigo as an adult, as well as his family life after his battle with Yhwach. Kubo hasn’t announced any plans for additional Bleach chapters, but the popularity of the Blood War arc has definitely left fans hoping for more.
