Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Enjoy Stylish Date Night Amid Wedding Buzz

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s latest date night was a fairytale.

Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce were seen holding hands on a date night at Or’esh restaurant in New York City on May 15th.

Taylor Swift celebrated with a floral dress that showed off her shoulders. She accessorized with a woven tan bag and heels, and completed the look with her classic red lipstick.

Her partner, who was with the team leaders, wore a short-sleeved, button-down shirt with a patchwork design, paired with black pants and dress shoes.

This outing happened just a few days after Taylor was seen with her entire family – parents Scott and Andrea Swift, and brother Austin – enjoying a rare night out in New York City on May 11th.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always keeping an eye on what’s happening with our favorite couples! While Travis wasn’t at the recent family event, it seems he and Taylor are already getting into wedding mode. They actually attended the wedding of Travis’s teammate, George Karlaftis, and his bride, Kaia Harris, in Greece just last week on May 9th – a lovely way to kick off what promises to be a busy wedding season!

After the wedding, George told People magazine how happy he was with their friends and guests. He said everyone had a great time getting to know each other and dancing, and he couldn’t have imagined a more perfect celebration.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, both 36, haven’t publicly announced their wedding plans, but Travis’s coach, Andy Reid, recently shared whether or not he’s been invited to the ceremony.

Andy joked during a radio interview on May 14th with 96.5 The Fan that he’ll attend if his tuxedo still fits. He said, “If I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going.”

The 68-year-old emphasized that he’s “so happy” for the couple to tie the knot.

Ultimately, the size or spectacle of everything around them doesn’t matter. What’s most important is their love for each other, he explained.

For everything Taylor and Travis have revealed about their big day, read on…

It’s hard to imagine Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce having a wedding on just any day; it would likely be a date that’s significant to them, or at least to Taylor.

Taylor Swift, a known lover of the number 13, shared her enthusiasm for numerology and dates during a recent two-hour appearance on her fiancé Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights. The episode aired on August 13th, just 13 days before they publicly announced their engagement. However, Travis’s father revealed they had already told close friends and family about their relationship three days prior to the podcast’s release. Swift described finding these kinds of patterns and numbers “really fun.”

As a lifestyle and team dynamics expert, I’m seeing how Travis’s choice to play another NFL season is already shifting things. We’ve got a window of opportunity – from now until training camp kicks off in July – to really refine the game plan and prepare for what’s ahead. It’s a crucial time for strategy and teamwork!

While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end certainly could have found time for a wedding in October, which is Taylor’s favorite month, saying it happened ‘during the bye week’ just doesn’t sound as romantic as if it had occurred during a more relaxed period.

Taylor Swift is famous for her close friendships with many celebrities, but she revealed in October 2025 that she hadn’t started planning her bachelorette party yet.

She admitted that people might assume she’d always dreamed of her wedding, but she actually never gave it much thought until she met the person she wanted to marry. She shared this on U.K.’s Heart Breakfast.

“So, I haven’t actually even thought about doing a hen do,” she noted, invoking the British slang. “This is the first time I have thought about that.”

Plus, she added of her gal pals, “They’re so fun but they’re so busy.”

When Taylor picks out a white dress, it’s going to be one to remember.

As a style expert, I’ve always admired this singer’s look. It’s effortlessly chic and surprisingly down-to-earth – if you ignore the designer labels, of course! I’d describe her style as classic with a modern edge, and she consistently gravitates towards timeless pieces from brands like Oscar de la Renta, Elie Saab, Louis Vuitton, Zuhair Murad, and J. Mendel – all names she’s loved for years.

After the wedding ceremony, where she’ll wear a beautiful gown, the tall bride—she’s five feet ten inches—plans to change into a more comfortable dress so she can dance all night.

We’re excited to see how she incorporates the traditional wedding elements – something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue – into her style.

Even wedding dress designer Vera Wang believes Taylor Swift will likely wear a lace dress, and possibly multiple outfits, for her wedding.

Travis is also into fashion, so he’s excited to choose a wedding suit that really reflects his style, no matter what he decides on.

He proposed while wearing shorts – it was a hot August day in Kansas! – and people online started jokingly challenging him to wear equally fashionable shorts for his wedding. However, he probably wouldn’t want to make such a bold fashion statement and risk overshadowing his partner, who will be wearing a beautiful dress.

Although, if showing off his knees was important to him…

Taylor Swift clarified to Cosmopolitan in 2012 that she hadn’t chosen a tuxedo for her future husband, explaining she wanted him to feel like his presence truly mattered.

Okay, seriously, family means everything to Taylor and Travis, so of course their parents and brothers are total VIPs! And Jason Kelce? He’s basically guaranteed to be the best man, and his daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte, are already being prepped as flower girls – so cute! Depending on when the wedding is, his youngest, Bennett, might even get to join them, which would be amazing. Poor little Finnley is just too young to participate, but honestly, the whole family dynamic is just…perfect! I’m already picturing it all!

It will be interesting to see which of Travis’ teammates are invited, but he was a groomsman at Patrick Mahomes’ wedding to Brittany Mahomes in 2022, so we know at least one player, along with coach Andy Reid, will be there. Plus, he’s maintained a close group of friends since high school, so his bachelor party – full of golf and drinks – is going to be a lot of fun.

Taylor Swift’s childhood friend, Abigail Anderson, continues to be a close and important person in her life. And while Taylor’s group of friends has changed over time, Selena Gomez remains one of her closest confidantes, still exchanging thoughtful gifts like homemade sourdough bread.

It’s easy to imagine a friend or family member becoming ordained to lead the ceremony, but we don’t expect Flavor Flav to be the one doing it.

And, add it to the list, someone keep an eye on Niall Horan‘s travel plans this spring.

As someone who’s seen a lot of events, I totally get the debate between a live band and a DJ! On a recent episode of his podcast, New Heights, Travis Kelce shared where he stands – and he’s definitely a live music person. He just said it feels more us – and I couldn’t agree more! There’s something special about experiencing music performed right in front of you.

Ugh, we knew it, we’re so on the same page.

Even if the bride doesn’t perform, she has plenty of friends who are talented singers and comfortable on stage.

We’re particularly hoping Haim will perform, but Taylor Swift playfully admitted it would be difficult to prevent Ed Sheeran from also taking the stage at her wedding.

She explained in an October 2025 interview with Hits Radio that Ed has a natural drive to perform. ‘He’s the kind of person who will always take the stage if there’s one available,’ she said. ‘He understands what his audience wants and is eager to deliver it.’

Taylor may love Travis so much she’d marry him with paper rings, but that won’t be the case.

On game days, he sometimes wears a sporty, flexible wedding band, but most of the time, he has the Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond ring – chosen by Travis from Artifex Fine Jewelry and designed by Kindred Lubeck – on his finger for his fiancée.

The ring has a long, central diamond with smaller diamonds on either side. It’s made of yellow gold with a unique, custom engraving and perfectly complements the $27,300 Cartier watch he used when proposing.

Just how massive will this white veil occasion be?

Taylor Swift explained on The Graham Norton Show in October that she preferred not to deal with the difficulty of deciding who to exclude from her guest list. She said making those cuts would force her to seriously consider the nature of her relationships with people.

And, she added, “I’m not gonna do that.”

Comedian Nikki Glaser, a self-proclaimed Taylor Swift fan, believes a large wedding is on the horizon. She told TopMob News at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, “Everything has been building up to this moment.”

The comedian pointed out that because Taylor Swift is constantly in the spotlight – essentially treated like a bride every day – her wedding will probably be kept as private as possible.

Nikki said she knows the person just wants to share the happy occasion with everyone they care about, as they have a large circle of friends and family. She jokingly predicted that someone will likely try to spoil the fun by taking disruptive photos from a helicopter overhead.

As soon as the wedding is over and the couple drives away, Taylor will definitely begin sharing photos and videos from her wedding with her fans.
