Fans will soon be saying farewell to The Amazing Digital Circus as the popular web series moves from online-only to theaters. Though it first appeared on YouTube in 2023, the quirky story quickly gained hundreds of millions of views. Tickets for the final episode are selling fast, but that’s not the only way to experience Pomni’s adventures. The manga adaptation, which originally launched in 2024, will be available in America this fall.
The 2024 manga isn’t a new story or spin-off; it’s a retelling of the Amazing Digital Circus web series, created with the full involvement of the original creator, Gooseworx. Manga artist Sakura has brought a fresh visual style to the story. Currently published in Japan, the manga is adapting the events of the third episode of the YouTube series. Since The Amazing Digital Circus will only have nine episodes, the manga will have a defined ending, though more chapters are planned. Viz Media will release the English version on September 8th – you can see the cover below.
The Digital Circus’s Grand Finale
The finale of The Amazing Digital Circus is breaking new ground – it’s heading to movie theaters! Thanks to record-breaking presales for Fathom Entertainment, The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act will be shown in 1,800 theaters. Fathom CEO Ray Nutt shared that the demand for tickets has been incredibly high as fans prepare to say goodbye to the series, with the theatrical release happening two weeks before the finale streams on YouTube.
We’re getting requests from more cinemas to show the film, and those already showing it want to add extra screenings. We’re incredibly grateful to Glitch for believing in a theatrical release and to our team for understanding, just as they did with ‘The Chosen,’ that there’s a strong audience for this series. Despite the finale being unavailable in the Middle East, The Last Act is expected to break records and could pave the way for more digital stories to be shown in cinemas. While Gooseworx and Glitch Productions haven’t confirmed plans for a sequel or spin-off, many fans are hoping this isn’t the end of Pomni and her friends’ story.
