Amy Schumer Reveals Side Effect of “Botched” Colonoscopy

Amy Schumer isn’t feeling quite like herself.

The comedian recently shared that, although she’s moving forward after confirming her split from Chris Fischer in December, she hasn’t been feeling quite herself due to a medical procedure that didn’t go smoothly.

During a May 17th event for the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat, Amy shared that she’s happier than ever before. Host Amanda Hirsch playfully connected Amy’s improved mood to her recent weight loss, asking if feeling good was related to ‘being really hot’.

Okay, so Amy Schumer is amazing, right? Someone told her she looked good, and she was sweet about it, but then she dropped this bomb – she just had a really rough colonoscopy! Seriously, a colonoscopy! She basically said it totally killed her vibe and she’s definitely not feeling glamorous or, like, ‘sexual’ right now. I mean, can you even imagine? Still love her though, she’s so real!

Amy, mother to 7-year-old Gene (with Chris), didn’t offer many details about the medical procedure. She jokingly told the audience they wouldn’t need to think about it for another 15 years.

Amy, age 44, is known for being very open and honest. Over the years, she’s freely discussed both her career and personal relationships, and she’s also openly shared details about her health, including how a diagnosis of Cushing Syndrome affected her weight loss.

In a recent post, Amy clarified that she lost 50 pounds, not the 30 pounds previously reported. She explained her weight loss wasn’t about appearance, though she admits feeling good is a nice bonus. It was a matter of health – she had a serious condition causing severe swelling, and she believes online support helped her get diagnosed and recover.

I’ve been following Cushing’s Syndrome closely, and it’s really important to understand how serious it can be. Basically, it’s a hormonal issue where your cortisol levels get too high – the National Library of Medicine explains it well – and if you don’t get it treated, it can unfortunately be fatal.

Amy addressed concerns about her weight loss, explaining, “I apologize if it bothers anyone, but I’ve had plastic surgery and I’m currently using Mounjaro.”

The actress from I Feel Pretty has often said she’s always been happy with herself, but that her recent changes in appearance are part of a larger effort to improve her overall health and well-being.

She shared in an Instagram post last November that she’s finally pain-free after a long journey. Her endometriosis has improved, her back is recovering, and she’s no longer dealing with Cushing syndrome, which has restored her normal appearance. She expressed gratitude for her strength and health, particularly for the sake of her son.

She added, “I’m proud of how I’ve looked always.”

The country singer shared that his looks have caused him to question himself many times, even though he’s had a very successful career.

I’ve always believed in my talent – I knew I could put on a great show and write songs people would genuinely love. But honestly, one of my biggest worries was whether I’d even get a chance, just because of how I looked. I shared that on the Popcast podcast back in February 2026 – it was a real fear I had to overcome.

Luke says he’s struggling to get in shape, comparing it to a puzzle he can’t solve, but he doesn’t want to use weight-loss drugs like GLP-1 to help him.

He said he was more afraid of the risks than he was interested in a quick fix. He’s committed to losing weight, but he wants to do it in a healthy, sustainable way, not through something potentially harmful.

He clarified that there’s nothing wrong with other approaches, emphasizing that it’s a matter of personal preference. However, for him personally, his priority is to win and overcome his own limitations.

The Bravo host detailed his health and fitness journey using an Ozempic-like drug.

During a September 2025 episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, the 57-year-old revealed he’d lost a significant amount of weight by using a GLP-1 medication. He explained he’d been unhappy with his weight and, after discussing it with his doctor last year, decided to try the medication. His doctor had previously suggested it not only to help with weight loss, but also to address plaque buildup in his arteries and manage high blood pressure, noting its broader health benefits. He ultimately agreed to start the treatment.

He explained that it significantly reduced his cravings, which had been a major struggle, and motivated him to be more consistent with his diet and exercise routine.

The singer shared in November 2024 that he had lost 120 pounds.

Jelly Roll explained he openly shared his experiences because he wants to be honest with others about the challenges he faces, as he discussed on his wife Bunnie XO’s podcast, Dumb Blonde.

He explained that his success wasn’t because of his weight, but rather despite it. He wanted everyone to understand that he overcame that challenge to achieve what he has.

The talk show host has been feeling healthier lately and has lost weight. She recently learned she was pre-diabetic, which motivated her to prioritize her health. “I started listening to my doctor, something I hadn’t done for a couple of years,” she told People magazine. She also mentioned that she sticks to a high-protein diet most of the time, which she finds beneficial anyway.

She is a Texas girlie after all, “so I like meat—sorry, vegetarians in the world!”

The mother of River and Remington is settling into her new life in New York City and enjoying the change of pace. She joked that walking around the city is great exercise, and she’s been trying out new wellness trends like infrared saunas and even recently got a cold plunge after friends convinced her to try it.

She decided against taking the popular weight loss drugs many people are talking about. She explained on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2024 that her doctor had been encouraging her for two years, but she was hesitant because of pre-existing thyroid issues. While many assume it was Ozempic, she clarified she was offered a different medication – one that helps the body process sugar, something she says her body struggles to do naturally.

Everyone’s getting health advice from a media icon who’s feeling fantastic! She shared her secrets with Entertainment Tonight, explaining that her healthy lifestyle isn’t about one specific thing—it’s a combination of treadmill workouts, hiking, drinking plenty of water, and eating well. She emphasized that it’s everything working together that makes the difference.

Oprah Winfrey recently shared that she’s using a weight loss medication, though she hasn’t revealed which one. In an interview with People magazine, she described it as a welcome relief, saying that having a medically approved option for managing weight feels like a gift. She explained she’s finished with the shame and ridicule she’s experienced in the past, both from others and from herself.

The HGTV personality demonstrated a remarkable life change by sharing details of his two-year fitness journey in an Instagram post from July 2023.

He explained that sometimes what feels right isn’t actually what you need to improve – you might need a change in direction. While he used to occasionally do hot yoga with his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, he realized he hadn’t been following a consistent plan, monitoring his diet, or getting any professional advice.

Nutritionist Sean Torbati emphasizes the importance of both a healthy diet and regular exercise, like hot yoga – which he does once or twice a week – for overall well-being. He believes staying motivated and persistent is key to achieving your goals.

He had a turning point when he truly understood how much he wanted to improve his health and well-being – not just for himself, but for his family and future. That’s when he committed to making real changes and started working towards his goals.

The cohost of The View shared that she used Mounjaro, a medication for type 2 diabetes, to lose weight after gaining weight in 2021.

She revealed on a recent talk show that she once weighed close to 300 pounds. She explained that she had previously used steroids and other substances, but she’s now lost weight with the help of a medication called Mounjaro, which she currently uses.

The Grammy-winning artist is aware people noticed her weight loss and impressive physical transformation. She attributes it to a combination of things, including changes to her diet and exercise routine, and the use of a weight loss medication containing GLP-1.

In a March 2025 Instagram post, she shared that she’s been prioritizing her health after her second pregnancy. She worked with a nutritionist, made significant changes to her daily routine, and began training with a fitness professional. She also mentioned using medication, specifically Mounjaro, alongside these efforts, and expressed how happy she is with the results, saying she feels fantastic.

The reality star is confident in herself, with or without anyone’s approval. She recently addressed rumors about weight loss, stating in an Instagram post that she hasn’t had any medical procedures to lose weight, and she’d rather not discuss it further.

Although she’s lost 100 pounds, bringing her weight down from 385 to 285, including 50 pounds after her mother, Barbara “Babs” Thore, passed away in December 2022, she’s been at this weight for nearly a year.

Simply put, she said she appreciated the compliments, but she doesn’t like focusing on appearances – either her own or anyone else’s.

The actress, known for her attractiveness everywhere from Cleveland to Los Angeles, recently shared her thoughts on body image in a thoughtful Instagram post last February.

The Food Network host shared a bikini photo from 2014 and talked about body image. She explained that, at 5’4″ and 150 pounds, she’s considered overweight by some standards, but she’s stopped weighing herself because she doesn’t care about those standards anymore. She regrets letting them bother her for so long.

Free from the stress of dieting, she realized she was a kind, funny, and thoughtful person. She emphasized that your personality and character should never be defined by your size or weight, and that you are valuable exactly as you are.

As for anyone that might not agree, she summed up, “F–k ‘em.”

The musician says he feels fantastic and like a rockstar after losing 55 pounds. In an Instagram post from April 2023, he said people have been asking about his weight loss and how it’s affecting his performances. He shared that he’s really enjoying being on stage and feels healthier than ever.

He explained that becoming a father in 2022 was a major source of motivation. He decided to give up soda and improve his diet, wanting to be healthy and live a long life for his daughter. He plans to quit smoking and cut back on alcohol next, but says he’s taking things one step at a time.

She admitted feeling a lot of pressure to lose weight after giving birth to her son, Sidney, in November 2022. She told TopMob News that losing 85 pounds became her main focus. She was so determined because she didn’t want to be constantly asked about her body – she just wanted people to stop talking about it.

She’s not suggesting everyone follow her intense method, but she’s pleased with how it worked for her. “It took a lot of effort, and honestly, it wasn’t enjoyable,” she explained. “I was constantly hungry, but the results were worth it.”

The actor, known for his role on Roseanne, has experienced many ups and downs with his health. He used to drastically lose weight, then quickly regain it by falling back into unhealthy habits. As he explained in 2017, he’s now taking a different approach, focusing on gradual changes like exercise and movement. He realizes he needs to stay active as he gets older.

He’s kept off 200 pounds by making healthy choices: he walks a lot and follows a Mediterranean diet rich in fish, vegetables, and nuts. He told Men’s Health that staying healthy is an ongoing process, but one he enjoys.

Following a type 2 diabetes diagnosis and the loss of his father and brother to heart attacks, the host of The Price Is Right committed to improving his diet.

He told Entertainment Tonight his secret to staying in shape was cutting out all carbohydrates. That meant no bread, pasta, pizza, corn, beans, or anything starchy. He typically starts his day with egg whites or Greek yogurt and a small amount of fruit, though he admits to occasionally indulging.

And to wash it all down, “I don’t drink anything but water,” he said. “No coffee, no tea, no soda.”

After losing an incredible 440 pounds, the star of 1000-lb Sisters has achieved some amazing new experiences, all shown on her TLC show. She’s now able to fly on airplanes, buckle her seatbelt, ride in the front seat of a car, go on a hot air balloon ride, and enjoy the rides at Disney World.

In a recent TikTok video, Slaton shared how much it means to her to be able to do everyday things like buckle a seatbelt without needing an extender. She explained that she hadn’t been able to manage simple tasks like that for years, and doesn’t take these abilities for granted.

I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished,” the reality star explained. “I worked hard to lose the weight and now I’m finally enjoying life to the fullest. It feels good to be able to say that I’m truly living.”

I’m so inspired by what the former Vanderpump Rules star is doing! She’s back on the Jenny Craig plan and really focused on getting healthy, but it’s about so much more than just weight loss for her. She told TopMob News that she wants to be the best mom possible to her son, Cruz, and that means showing him what healthy living looks like. She’d like to lose weight, of course, but setting a good example for Cruz with Jax Taylor is her top priority, and honestly, that’s amazing to me.

The future star of The Valley explained, “I really want to model a healthy lifestyle for him. Exercise is a big part of my life and helps me feel good mentally. It’s important to me that he sees and participates in taking care of his health.”

All her hard work and dedication to strength training has clearly paid off for the musician, resulting in a noticeable physical transformation.

In a 2023 interview with People, the star shared how proud they are of their progress. They explained that fitness is now a core part of their life, thanks to consistent dedication to exercise and prioritizing their well-being.

She’s been working really hard, and mentioned she might start offering intense fitness classes, which she playfully calls ‘Hottie Bootcamp.’ She described one workout as a challenging combination of exercises like deadlifts, jump rope, lunges, and mountain climbers. In a video, she jokingly said the workout is incredibly tough – ‘it really burns!’ – but added that it’s effective, saying, ‘you can see the results in your thighs.’

When the pandemic began in March 2020, just a few months after the actress had her first daughter, Atlas, she admitted to feeling incredibly unmotivated. She told TopMob News that with everything stopping, she just decided to let go of trying so hard.

She abandoned her workout routine and healthy eating habits, falling into a pattern of unhealthy food choices throughout 2020. This took a toll on her, and she longed to feel good about her body again.

She was excited but also a little unsure when she first heard about trying Openfit’s 4 Weeks of Focus program with trainer Kelsey Heenan.

After consistently starting her day for a month with warm water and lemon, plus a 30-minute workout – a mix of HIIT, cardio, and strength training – she realized she loved it. She explained she’s adopted a more balanced approach to eating, allowing herself treats while still making healthy choices, like adding spinach to pizza. She was surprised by how much stronger she felt, admitting she’d never lifted heavy weights before – 40 or 50 pounds – despite being active her whole life.

The fitness influencer, known online as Fat Girl Fed Up, recently shared on Instagram that she didn’t reach her weight goal of dropping below 200 pounds. However, she decided to focus on her progress and still had a reason to celebrate, proving she doesn’t let minor setbacks discourage her.

She reminded herself that even small steps forward count as progress. While she knew she’d put in a lot of effort this week, she wasn’t discouraged. She figured losing weight would take time, just like gaining it, so she planned to keep moving forward regardless of the challenges.

She’s confident she can achieve her health goals. “I’m going to reach my ideal state,” she stated, “whether it takes a week or a year, we’ll get there eventually. Just keep moving forward, believe in yourself, and focus on making progress, not achieving perfection.”

The Queer Eye star made significant progress with their health and fitness goals, which allowed them to advance to more challenging gymnastics routines.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always believed in tailoring wellness to your specific goals. Back in April, I decided to work with a nutritionist, and honestly, the results have been incredible – I’ve lost 35 pounds! It wasn’t just about general health, though. I wanted to reshape my body to really support my gymnastics and career aspirations. It’s amazing what a focused approach can do!

But they also warned not to expect immediate results. The author of Love That Story shared that it took three weeks of consistent effort before they noticed any difference. So, if you’re hoping to see a change, be prepared to commit to working out and eating differently for about three weeks before you see results.

Before turning thirty in 2022, the former Disney Channel star decided to start a new workout plan.

The actor, who is married to model Barbara Palvin, shared an Instagram post in April explaining that he used to be self-conscious about his body as a child and would even wear a shirt while swimming. He decided in his late twenties to transform his physique and embrace a more muscular build, calling the post his ‘meat head post’.

Let me tell you, getting in shape wasn’t easy! It took a lot of hard work with weights and kettlebells, a real grind honestly, but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. And honestly, I’m not stopping anytime soon – this is just the beginning!

Everyone has ups and downs, and life isn’t always flawless. This became clear when the actress openly shared on Instagram in January 2024 that she had regained some weight – about 13.6 kilograms – after successfully reaching her goal of 75 kilograms in 2020.

Wilson admitted she’s been struggling to maintain her healthy habits due to a busy filming schedule. She’d previously shared how she overcame emotional eating and shifted to a diet focused on protein instead of carbs, but now finds it difficult to fit in her boxing and hiking workouts.

I see this all the time with my clients – stress really can pack on the pounds. It’s so frustrating because it creates a vicious cycle. As one client, Wilson, confessed to me, it just makes you feel down, and even though you know it shouldn’t, it genuinely does affect your self-esteem. It’s a really common struggle, and recognizing that’s the first step to breaking free.

Giving up his favorite beers? Okay. And dedicating himself to intense daily workouts – like the P90X program, kickboxing, and running – as he told Men’s Journal? Absolutely.

For Chris Pratt, the hardest part of getting into superhero shape—losing 60 pounds from his role in Parks and Recreation to Guardians of the Galaxy—was the massive amount of water he had to drink: one ounce for every pound of his body weight each day.

“I was peeing all day long, every day,” he explained. “That part was a nightmare,”

Even though Paul Rudd was already well-known, like Cher Horowitz might say, he knew people were surprised to learn he’d be playing the new Marvel hero, Ant-Man.

Paul Rudd recalled that when he was cast in the movie, many people were surprised, reacting with something like, ‘Paul Rudd as a superhero? Is that really happening?’ He shared this with Variety magazine in 2015.

He understood his task perfectly. He described his training as following the example set by Chris Pratt for action films: dedicate a year to strict, joyless preparation, and then you can convincingly portray a hero.

After having her older children, the author of the Just Eat book returned to the South Beach diet to help her feel like herself again. She told TopMob News that the protein-rich plan worked quickly. “I started the program, exercised, and immediately felt better,” she said.

Before focusing on anything else, she cherishes the time immediately after giving birth. Decker, a mother to Vivianne, Eric Jr., Forrest, and Denver (born February 2024), emphasizes, “New moms should prioritize recovery, not weight loss. Focus on feeding your baby, bonding with your baby, and letting your body heal. You’ll naturally know when you’re ready to be active again. Don’t let pressure to lose weight distract you – listen to your body and wait until you feel physically up to it.”

He’s been enjoying the results of his workouts, including a visible six-pack. He’s been training for 90 minutes at a time and eating a much healthier diet – lots of lean protein and vegetables, while avoiding sugary drinks like soda, as he told People magazine.

What truly motivates him is achieving his adventurous life goals. He shared, “Beyond acting, I’m focused on outdoor challenges—like rock climbing in Yosemite, which means I need to get in shape. A major goal of mine is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, a long route stretching from Mexico to Canada along the American coast and back.”

After giving birth to her daughter Kingsley in September 2022, the actress, known for Twilight, realized something important: she acknowledged in an Instagram post in January 2023 that her body wouldn’t return to how it was before, and she was coming to terms with that.

If she ever feels overwhelmed, she has a coping strategy that’s just as valuable as getting back into her exercise routine after having a baby.

She told TopMob News that looking into her daughter’s eyes – whom she affectionately calls her ‘sweet angel’ – helps her appreciate things instead of focusing on her own flaws. It’s a trick she uses because it’s easy to be hard on yourself, no matter what you do.
