Pokémon Trading Card Game fans have a lot to look forward to with the upcoming release of the Chaos Rising set! To help pass the time while we wait, we’re thrilled to give you a first look at two cards from the new collection.
Pokémon is poised for a major year, celebrating its 30th anniversary with a wave of new releases. We’ve already seen Pokopia, and Pokémon Winds and Waves is on the horizon.
Pokémon hasn’t just stayed in the game world – it’s partnered with real-world brands like the National Trust and Ikea. And who could forget the Pokémon-themed cereal from Kellogg’s that everyone seemed to be enjoying?

However, many fans are most excited about the Trading Card Game. We’re thrilled to share a sneak peek at two cards from the new Chaos Rising set, and here’s the first one!

Minccino is a simple Pokémon, starting with 70 HP and knowing just one attack: Take Down. This move deals 30 damage to the opponent, but also causes 10 damage to Minccino itself.
Minccino probably won’t be a star player by itself, but it’s likely to appear in competitive Pokémon decks because of its powerful evolution – we’ll talk about that shortly.
Also, the Minccino artwork by Ryoma Uratsuka is absolutely adorable – just look at those ears and the background! It’s fantastic. Now, let’s move on to the second card we’re excited to share with you today.

Here’s a new Pokémon to meet! Minccino can evolve into Cinccino EX, a powerful Stage 1 evolution.
Cinccino EX has a strong attack called Energised Slap that deals 40 damage for each Energy card attached to it. Plus, its Smooth Coat ability can help you avoid damage if you flip a coin and win.
Let’s give a shout-out to the artist! The artwork for this Cinccino EX card is by 5ban Graphics, and it’s truly delightful – the card really pops with Cinccino’s cheerful expression.

If these cards have caught your eye, you’re probably wondering when you can get them. Both will be released with the Chaos Rising set on May 22, 2026.
Many stores across the UK and internationally will have items available, but you’ll need to be quick to grab them before other collectors do! If you like to shop online, Magic Madhouse is a great place to look.
