Paul Rudd Reveals He Was Arrested Twice As a Teenager

This is Paul Rudd in trouble with the law. 

You know, as someone who follows celebrity stories, I was really struck by a recent confession from the ‘This Is 40’ actor. He shared that he actually had a couple of brushes with the law before he became famous – two separate incidents, to be exact. It’s a reminder that everyone has a past, even those we see on screen!

I was riding in the passenger seat of a car with my friend Mike, and we were having a water gun fight with another car full of our friends,” he shared on the May 19th episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast with Benny Blanco and Lil Dicky.

The group of friends, who were just having some harmless fun at the time, didn’t realize the police officer who stopped them would see it differently.

Paul described how the officer, Mike, pulled them over and pointed a gun at them. Mike then approached and ordered them, “Alright, son. Slowly, very slowly, give me that water gun. And you better hope it is a water gun.”

“And he has a gun on me,” the Ant-Man star stressed. “I’m like 16.”

After Paul and Mike turned in their water guns, Paul, 57, explained that Mike had received a ticket for reckless driving because they’d seemed to swerve into the wrong lane. Paul also wasn’t completely cleared – he received a citation for helping Mike drive recklessly.

Paul wondered if the other person was just trying to make a point, but ultimately, he ended up in court because of it.

As for his second offense?

He joked, ‘Once, during my freshman year of college, I supposedly killed someone.’ Then he added, ‘That was a tough story to explain away.’

The actor from The Perks of Being a Wallflower was caught with alcohol before turning 21, even though he hadn’t committed any other crime.

He admitted he wasn’t much of a drinker at the time. When the police showed up, and realizing he was too young to be drinking, he quickly got rid of the alcohol.

Oh my god, you will NOT believe this! So, Paul – you know, the dad of Jack and Darby, and married to Julie Yaeger? – he got into a little trouble with the police. Apparently, someone caught him trying to, like, hide something. He keeps saying he wasn’t technically arrested, which, okay, details, but he totally had to do community service! Can you even imagine?! It’s just… so him, honestly.

Paul was involved in a physical fight while doing his community service at the Boys & Girls Club.

Following student requests for counselors to oversee a casual boxing event, Paul reported that a student had defeated him in a match.

But, as he emphasized, there were no hard feelings. 

“Even then,” he added, “I’m like, ‘that was really funny.’”

She was completely confused and wondered if it was some kind of prank.

She explained that the issue was probably caused by a chemical from the packaging of the pricey organic sunflower seeds she’d been eating on the plane. She jokingly referred to them as ‘my protein on the plane!’

I was shocked to hear him talk about it, but he openly confessed to drinking a crazy amount around the holidays. He actually said it was because he really, really disliked Christmas – he put it pretty bluntly!

He told The Sun in December 2024 that when he used to drink heavily, he once bought a 28-gallon barrel of alcohol and finished it before Christmas Eve.

The host of America’s Next Top Model has a strange habit: she admits to eating crumbs and small pieces of food she finds in her bed the following day.

Finch, who was temporarily removed from his role on the ABC medical show before ultimately quitting, admitted, “I messed up badly. It was completely unacceptable, and I take full responsibility.”

Beauty is pain, but Kim Kardashian might be able to stomach it.

The reality star told The New York Times she’d consider almost any procedure to look younger, joking that she was open to trying anything.

She admitted in June that she’d even consider something extreme – like eating something truly unpleasant every day – if it meant she could look younger. She emphasized she was seriously considering it.

In a July 2022 interview with Allure magazine, Kim explained she was mostly kidding when she made the comment, but admitted it wasn’t a completely awful idea.

Kim admitted, after some thought, that she’d likely do almost anything for youth, saying she’d even eat something disgusting like feces if someone promised it would make her look younger – even if it meant eating it every day.

When asked if she could eat something, she said, “Perhaps just a small bite.” She explained she didn’t think she could manage a full bowl.

Jelly Roll could’ve used some saving from himself.

During an April 2025 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer of “Save Me” shared a particularly embarrassing story, and he didn’t hesitate to tell all the details.

“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”

To be honest, Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord) didn’t intend to cause such serious harm.

He firmly believed it was just a misunderstanding. “I sincerely apologize,” he said. “I saw the audience turn from supportive to completely against me.”
