Before the highly anticipated ninth season of Rick and Morty arrives on Adult Swim, one of the show’s creators, Dan Harmon, is exploring the show’s multiverse concept in a new and different way.
Dan Harmon recently told CinemaBlend that a Rick & Morty movie is officially in development. Jacob Hair, a frequent director for the show and the supervising director for season 9, will direct the film. According to Harmon:
Jacob Hair is directing the project. We didn’t even need to look for anyone else – he’s exceptional. Calling him a ‘rock star’ doesn’t quite capture how solid and consistently great he is; that term feels too fleeting. When Jacob joined the team, it felt like we’d added a foundational element, something incredibly strong and reliable.
