Nintendo recently released the opening cinematic for the game, and it surprisingly centers around Bowser Jr. His inquisitive nature leads him to discover a world hidden within Mr. E’s books. What exactly is he up to? It’s unclear if this connects to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, but it’s a possibility.
This knowledge will be very helpful as you play a platformer where Yoshi can interact with almost everything around him, including the creatures living in each level. How you interact with these creatures and how they respond to the world is key to moving forward, and being observant can even unlock secret areas and rewards. Thankfully, Yoshi can’t actually die, but he’ll get upset if enemies hit him.
I’ve been super hyped for this game ever since I saw the trailer, and I’m so excited I finally get to play it when it comes out on May 21st for the Nintendo Switch 2!
