Katie Holmes & Her Mom Make Rare Joint Appearance at ABT Gala

Katie Holmes‘ night out with her mom was en pointe. 

Katie Holmes and her mother, Kathleen Holmes, were spotted together at a special event – the American Ballet Theatre’s 2026 Spring Gala in New York City on May 20th. It was a rare public appearance for the mother-daughter pair.

The event was particularly special because Katie, age 47, was being recognized for her many years of support for the American Ballet Theatre and her commitment to the arts. Katie is the mother of Suri Cruise, 20, and was previously married to Tom Cruise, according to a statement from the dance company.

At an event showcasing a preview of Don Quixote, the Batman Begins actress and her mother turned heads on the red carpet with their fashionable and playful appearance.

Katie looked stunning in a white two-piece outfit with thin straps and a patterned design. She completed her look with a diamond necklace and stylish T-strap sandals. Kathleen chose a tan and black printed midi dress with puffy sleeves, pairing it with black loafers and a coordinating handbag. She brightened up her outfit with playful red glasses.

Katie recently spent an evening with her mother in New York City, following another outing that caught people’s attention. She’s known for her role in First Daughter.

Katie sparked excitement when she met up with her former Dawson’s Creek co-star, Joshua Jackson, at a screening of the documentary Brunello: The Gracious Visionary on April 14th.

Fans were really excited about what happened after the two actors, who dated during the first season of the show and whose characters eventually ended up together, reconnected.

People were surprised when Katie reacted positively to online comments speculating about her relationship.

In April, Katie posted a promotional photo for her upcoming romantic comedy, Happy Hours, featuring her with her arm around her co-star, Joshua.
