Rivals’ Emily Atack confirmed to join James Bond favourite in all-new TV courtroom drama

The BBC is starting production on a new legal drama called Reputation, created by writer Anya Reiss and featuring Naomie Harris, known for her role in the James Bond films.

Naomi Harris, known for her role as Moneypenny alongside Daniel Craig’s James Bond, will star as Lena, a powerful lawyer. Lena finds herself involved in a high-profile case representing Davina Knight, a famous pop star portrayed by Christina Hendricks of The Buccaneers.

The series, made by The Forge and consisting of six episodes, will star Emily Atack, known from Rivals, alongside Kyle Soller (Andor), Alex Jennings (The Crown), and David Gyasi (The Diplomat).

“Reputation” is a new, captivating drama that explores the fallout when a high-profile legal fight gets completely out of hand.

I was shocked when Davina released that new song – it was a really powerful statement accusing her ex, Billy Soller, of abuse. And then he fired back! What started as a personal struggle quickly exploded into a messy, public legal fight, with accusations flying everywhere. It’s just awful to watch their private pain play out like this.

The legal battle extends far beyond the courtroom, with both sides using public relations, manipulating the rules, and turning to social media. On these platforms, opinions become instant judgements, and the pursuit of online attention often overshadows the facts.

This case is deeply personal for Lena, and she’s willing to risk a lot to win – but how much is she willing to sacrifice? Meanwhile, Davina is determined to protect her good name, no matter the cost.

The series will also star Marli Siu, known for “Twenty Twenty Six,” Alex Heath from “Prime Target,” Tilly Keeper (“You”), Corey Johnson (“The Day of the Jackal”), Aidan McArdle (“Showtrial”), Ernest Kingsley Jnr (“The Sandman”), Jodie Campbell (“Boarders”), Kayla Meikle (“Transaction”), Mike Noble (“This City Is Ours”), Enzo Cilenti (“Black Mirror”), and Kat Ronney (“Dinosaur”).

Harris shared that he was immediately captivated by the script for ‘Reputation,’ praising Anya’s writing as witty and stylish. He said he knew instantly he wanted to play the character of Lena.

Hendricks also shared that Davina is a strong and compelling character, and expressed excitement about collaborating with Naomie and The Forge again.

Reputation will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
