Following a long and often frustrating wait, fans of the manga can finally rejoice! Being a fan meant staying dedicated through numerous delays and keeping up with the complex story, but the series is officially coming back.

A preview has revealed that Berserk, the manga created by Kentaro Miura, will continue with new chapters. Studio Gaga is taking over the series, guided by Kouji Mori, a close friend of the late Miura. Chapter 384 is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2026, marking the end of a nine-month wait for fans since the last chapter.

Berserk Returns with Chapter 384 After Nine-Month Hiatus

After Elfhelm fell, Guts and his companions find themselves stuck inside the Kushan Empire, and the situation is dire. Guts is struggling with trauma from Casca’s abduction and recent hardships, and he’s currently imprisoned by Daiba. At the same time, Griffith is gaining more and more power in Falconia, and his growing army poses an increasing threat to the Kushan Empire, ratcheting up the tension.

The popular manga Berserk is currently in a crucial part of its story, but frequent breaks are causing it to move slowly. Fans are still excited to see how Guts’ journey ends, and creator Kentaro Miura (before his passing) indicated that new chapters were planned for release throughout 2026.

Despite occasional breaks in production, the Berserk franchise is still very popular, with new merchandise regularly released – including a recent lottery with collectible prizes. The latest manga volume, Volume 43, came out in Japan last August and will be available in English in October 2026. After Kentaro Miura’s death in 2021, Kouji Mori and the team at Studio Gaga took over the manga. Mori has since explained that it’s impossible to fully replicate Miura’s unique artistic style. He also hinted that the story will continue to be very difficult for the main character, Guts, who will face even greater hardships and despair.

Berserk tells the story of Guts, a skilled but solitary mercenary who fights with an enormous sword called the Dragon Slayer. The series follows his brutal encounters with terrifying demons, monsters, and evil nobles as he seeks revenge on Griffith, a former friend who betrayed him.
