Coronation Street airs intriguing new theory surrounding Theo Silverton’s death in early ITVX release

George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) has suggested another Coronation Street resident might be involved in the investigation surrounding Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) murder.

The police have questioned the funeral director, his partner Christina Boyd (played by Amy Robbins), and Gary Windass (Mikey North). Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) has also been arrested and charged with a crime.

George was worried about her actions, especially because she hadn’t been truthful about where she was when Theo died, so he went to talk to Detective Sergeant Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers).

He’d seen her destroy journal pages where she’d written about wanting to shoot Theo. Connor-Swain was also surprised to discover a photo of Summer wearing a brooch identical to the one found at the crime scene.

George is devastated by the loss of Todd Grimshaw, who blames him for Summer being in prison due to the consequences of his own choices.

However, in today’s episode, a potential new suspect came to the forefront.

Theo’s former wife, Danielle Silverton, played by Natalie Anderson, was looking at flowers at Preston’s Petals. Tracy Barlow cautioned that the arrangements could be pricey, and while she could create a smaller bouquet, it wouldn’t be suitable for placing on a coffin.

George overheard her talking about her money problems and realized she might be expecting a large sum from Theo’s life insurance and inheritance.

Tracy reckoned that this could be a good enough reason to want to bump someone off.

Did Danielle kill Theo?

Kate Brooks, the producer of the show, has hinted to TopMob and other news outlets that the identity of the killer won’t be revealed until late June or July.

She described it as a complex story with numerous unexpected turns and related details.

The story seems to start going in one direction, but then unexpectedly shifts into something completely different. It’s sure to be unpredictable and keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Is it possible everyone’s focusing on Danielle as a distraction, while the actual murderer is still out there?

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 or can be streamed from 7am on ITVX.
