Curry Baker’s new horror film, Obsession, is quickly gaining attention. Released earlier this month, it’s received excellent reviews and, unusually, has actually earned more money in its second week of release than it did in its first.

What makes the film’s success even more impressive is its incredibly low budget. It cost under $1 million to make, and it’s now poised to join the rare group of movies that earn over $100 million despite such limited funding.

Critics have lauded the film for many reasons, including its effective use of jump scares and a standout performance by rising star Inde Navarrette. The movie’s soundtrack is also particularly noteworthy.

The film features a mix of licensed music, an original score, and songs by Rock Burwell. Many of these tracks are already well-known, especially to TikTok users – one person online noted that several songs were trending on the platform before the movie’s release.
