The Final Fantasy series is incredibly popular, but even among its many successful games, some are more beloved than others. Few titles stand out quite like Final Fantasy X, which is particularly iconic and widely enjoyed by fans.
This summer, Final Fantasy X is being re-released! Fans can once again journey to the world of Spira and experience Yuna and her friends’ story, now enhanced with music.
Final Fantasy 10 Returns in July With an Official New Release
In 2026, it will be 25 years since Final Fantasy X was first released. Since then, fans have enjoyed a direct sequel, Final Fantasy X-2 (which many consider even better), and a remastered version of both games. Considering how uncommon direct sequels are in the Final Fantasy series, the fact that X-2 exists proves just how popular and well-loved the original Final Fantasy X truly was.
To mark the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X, Square Enix is releasing a new album called “House Grooves.” This isn’t just a rehash of the game’s beloved music; it features completely new arrangements designed to recreate the feelings and atmosphere of the RPG.
The popular album series ‘House Grooves’ is back with its second release! This new album reimagines beloved songs from Final Fantasy 10 with a deep house twist. Featuring 12 carefully selected tracks, it brings those iconic game melodies to life with vibrant, club-ready sound. Get ready for a nostalgic yet completely fresh listening experience.
This is the second release in the “House Grooves” series, following “Final Fantasy IX – House Grooves” which came out earlier this year. You can buy it now on the official Square Enix website.
The album “Final Fantasy X – House Grooves” features these tracks: “Prelude,” “This Is Your Story,” “Thunder Plains,” “Macalania Woods,” “Phantoms,” “Wandering,” “Zanarkand,” “Besaid,” “Sight Of Spira 〜 A Fleeting Dream,” “Hum Of The Fayth,” “Auron’s Theme,” and “Fight With Seymour.”
The project will feature music from a diverse group of artists, including Lonely Boy, DJ Synthesizer, Kai Saruwatari, HAIOKA, JT Donaldson, Awoke VS Electrobrain, Christian Dinh Gulino, Ai Kakihira, me-mai, Andreas Saag, Michinobu Takarada, and Terry McGowan.
The album “Final Fantasy X – House Grooves” is coming out on July 22nd, nearly five years after its initial release on the PlayStation 2. It will cost 3,300 Yen, which is about $21. While digital copies are available now, they are currently only accessible in Japan.
You can play Final Fantasy X on a variety of platforms, including PlayStation 2, 3, and 4, as well as Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One.
