Capcom previously stated they wouldn’t release a demo for Resident Evil Requiem before its February 2026 release. However, now that the game is closer to launch, they’re reconsidering that decision and are open to the possibility.
A demo for the game, featuring a portion of the beginning, is now available on the PlayStation Store. Please note that any progress you make in the demo won’t carry over to the full game if you purchase it. Think of the demo as a way to try the game and see if you enjoy it.
It looks like this demo will let you experience the beginning of the game as Grace in Wrenwood, and possibly a small part of the Rhodes Hill care center as well.
Great news if you’re planning to buy! Resident Evil Requiem is currently on sale as part of the PS Store’s Days of Play promotion. You can get it with a 30% discount until June 10th, 2026.
Our review of Resident Evil Requiem for PS5 gave it an 8 out of 10. We found it to be a great game that successfully combines the best elements of both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 7, though it’s not perfectly balanced.
