After years of rumours, whispers, and fake leaks, we may finally have something on Persona 6.
Interestingly, this information also came from a leak, and it’s being confirmed by trusted sources on the ResetEra forum, where you can see the pictures.
Some blurry concept art images have appeared online, revealing a male character with a blonde bowl cut and a female character with black hair. Both characters seem to be wearing school uniforms.
Artwork files have been discovered that include character names, likely those who will be playable in the game. Since all the names appear to be Japanese, it’s a strong indication the game takes place in Japan.
Okay, so there’s no way to totally confirm these leaks are real, but honestly, they look pretty convincing to me. The artwork is really good, and the notes that came with it seem like they were made by professionals. Plus, a bunch of people I trust in the gaming community are saying the same thing, which makes me think they’re legit.
Since this concept art was found, many AI-created images have appeared online, with some accounts trying to profit from the excitement.
Many of these posts are already getting a lot of attention, with some racking up tens of thousands of likes and shares. One image, showing what appears to be the main character with their team, is obviously created using AI, but people are still sharing it widely.
These recent leaks have understandably sparked a lot of discussion about when Persona 6 will officially be announced. Some people are now speculating that we might get a surprise reveal at next week’s Xbox Games Showcase, especially since SEGA and Xbox have been partnering on marketing efforts recently.
Everyone seems to be overlooking Persona 4 Revival, which will likely be at the event. I don’t think Atlus will announce Persona 6 until after the Persona 4 remake is released.
