3 Prime Video Shows To Watch This Weekend (#1 Is An Instant Worldwide Sensation)

This weekend, May 29-31, 2026, Prime Video offers three must-see shows: a thrilling spy adventure, a hugely popular romantic comedy, and a brand-new series that’s topping charts around the world. Even after the incredibly successful finale of The Boys – which became one of Prime Video’s biggest hits after its fifth season premiered this spring – there’s still plenty to watch and enjoy all weekend long.

This past weekend, The Boys was named the top show to watch on Prime Video by ScreenRant. Also popular is The Legend of Vox Machina, a fantastic animated series returning for its fourth season on June 3rd. Right now, three Prime Video shows are gaining a lot of attention worldwide, and are great for a binge-watching session, with a new, critically acclaimed series starring Nic Cage currently at the top of the global charts.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan

As a movie critic, I’ve been watching the numbers, and it’s interesting to see Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan back in the spotlight. The new film, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, just dropped on Prime Video and immediately shot to the top of their most-watched list, becoming the #1 movie since its release on May 20th. Now, critics haven’t exactly been raving about it – it’s sitting at a 44% on Rotten Tomatoes – which is a significant dip in quality compared to the original series. That show, which ran for four seasons between 2018 and 2023, consistently earned a much stronger 80% approval rating. It’s a clear example of a franchise where the movie hasn’t quite lived up to the success of the television show.

Even though the later seasons weren’t as strong, the original Jack Ryan series is still a fan favorite action thriller on Prime Video, alongside hits like Reacher and The Terminal List. John Krasinski, known for playing Jim in The Office, stars as a CIA analyst unexpectedly thrust into a world of spies and danger. Similar to Netflix’s The Recruit, the show delivers plenty of action, suspense, and crime, with strong performances from a talented cast including Michael Kelly and Wendell Pierce.

Off Campus

Since its release earlier this month, Off Campus has quickly become one of the most popular shows on Prime Video. It’s often compared to Heated Rivalry and blends teen and college life with romance and the excitement of competitive sports. Similar to other hit Prime Video shows aimed at young adults, Off Campus is adapted from a popular book series, giving it lots of material for future seasons.

I’m really excited about the new show, Off Campus! With Euphoria wrapping up, this feels like a perfect time for something fresh, and it’s already creating some buzz around its stars, like Ella Bright as Hannah Wells and Mika Abdalla as Allie Hayes. Since the books jump between different characters, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more from this series – it’s already the #2 trending show on Prime Video, which is awesome!

Spider-Noir

Okay, seriously, if you’re looking for something awesome to watch on Prime Video this weekend, you have to check out Spider-Noir. All eight episodes are available now, so you can just dive right in and binge it. Nicolas Cage is fantastic in it – he plays Ben Reilly, a detective in 1930s New York who also happens to be a web-slinging hero. It’s exactly what it sounds like: a really cool mix of old-school black and white film noir and the Spider-Verse. Trust me, it’s a unique and captivating ride!

Critics and viewers overwhelmingly love Spider-Noir, already ranking it among the best new shows of 2026. With a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and a 92% audience score, the series is a visually striking blend of different worlds, powered by Nicolas Cage’s incredible performance.
